Starship Jubilee
Starship Jubilee (foaled March 10, 2013) is a retired American Thoroughbred racehorse who was named the 2019 Canadian Horse of the Year after recording three stakes wins that year including the Grade I E. P. Taylor Stakes. She was also named Canadian Champion Female Turf Horse in 2017, 2018 and 2019. In 2020, she has won five of seven starts including the Woodbine Mile. Starship Jubilee was bred in Florida and began her career at Gulfstream Park in the claiming ranks. In 2017, she was claimed by trainer Tino Attard for $16,000. Tino Attard placed her with his son Kevin Attard, who relocated her to Woodbine Racecourse in Canada where she soon established herself as a top competitor on the turf. Woodbine Racetrack
Woodbine Racetrack is a race track for Thoroughbred horse racing in the Etobicoke area of Toronto, Ontario, Canada. Owned by Woodbine Entertainment Group, Woodbine Racetrack manages and hosts Canada's most famous race, the King's Plate. Javier Castellano
Javier Castellano (born October 23, 1977, in Maracaibo, Zulia State, Venezuela) is a jockey in American Thoroughbred horse racing. Castellano began his riding career in 1996 at Santa Rita and La Rinconada racecourses in Venezuela. In June 1997 he moved to the United States where he rode at race tracks in southern Florida until 2001 when he moved to race on the New York State racing circuit. He had his first major wins in 2004, on Frank Stronach's colt Ghostzapper and won several major races including the 2004 Breeders' Cup Classic, earning 2004 Eclipse Award for Horse of the Year and other honors. Tampa Bay Downs is an American Thoroughbred horse racing facility located in Westchase in Hillsborough County in the U.S. state of Florida, just outside Tampa. It opened in 1926 under the name Tampa Downs, and has also been known as Sunshine Park and Florida Downs and Turf Club. The Pegasus World Cup Filly and Mare Turf Invitational is a Grade III American Thoroughbred horse race for invited fillies and mares that are four years old or older, over a distance of miles on the turf held annually in January at Gulfstream Park, Hallandale Beach, Florida. The event currently carries a purse of $500,000. History The race was inaugurated in 14 March 2001 as the Marshua's River Stakes over a much shorter distance of about 5 furlongs and named after the winning mare Marshua's River who won nine races in her career including the Grade III Suwannee River Stakes. Pink Lloyd (foaled February 23, 2012) is a retired Canadian Thoroughbred racehorse who won eight Sovereign Awards during his career, including the award for Canadian Horse of the Year in 2017. He was undefeated in eight starts that year, with his largest win coming in the Kennedy Road Stakes. In 2018, he extended his winning streak to eleven with victories in the Jacques Cartier, New Providence and Achievement Stakes before the streak was broken on July 8 in the Shepperton Stakes. Three weeks later, he returned to the winner's circle in the Vigil Stakes followed by another win in the Kenora Stakes. Despite losing his last two starts of the year, he was named the Canadian Champion Sprinter of 2018. Churchill Downs is a horse racing complex located on Central Avenue in south Louisville, Kentucky, United States, famed for hosting the annual Kentucky Derby. Saratoga Race Course
Saratoga Race Course is a Thoroughbred horse racing track located on Union Avenue in Saratoga Springs, New York, Saratoga Springs, New York (state), New York, United States. Opened in 1863, it is often considered to be the oldest major sporting venue of any kind in the country, but is actually the fourth oldest racetrack in the US (after 3rd oldest Pleasanton Fairgrounds Racetrack, 2nd oldest Fair Grounds Race Course, and oldest Freehold Raceway). Chad C. Brown (born December 18, 1978) is an American Thoroughbred horse racing trainer known for his expertise with turf horses and with fillies and mares. He has trained ten Eclipse Award winners including Stacelita, Big Blue Kitten, Lady Eli, Flintshire, and Horse of the Year Bricks and Mortar.
