Universal Music Group released ''The Best of Siouxsie and the Banshees'' in 2002 as the first reissue of the Siouxsie and the Banshees remastered back-catalogue. The most successful singles of the band were presented in a non-chronological order. Content This best-of includes an unreleased track "Dizzy" (re-edited), only available on this CD; it was recorded in late 1994. The original version of "Dizzy" was included on a one track CD sold at the '' Seven Year Itch'' concerts of 2002. "Dizzy" would later feature in the 2006 film '' Notes on a Scandal''. ''The Best of'' also includes for the first time the complete version of " This Wheel's on Fire" with no fade out in the end. Budgie (drummer)
Peter Edward Clarke (born 21 August 1957), known professionally as Budgie, is an English drummer best known for his work in Siouxsie and the Banshees. He is also the co-founder of the Creatures. He was the drummer of the Slits in 1979. He was then a member of Siouxsie and the Banshees from 1979 to 1996 and a member of the Creatures from 1981 to 2004. Budgie worked with other musicians including John Cale, Leonard Eto (formerly of the Kodo Drummers), John Grant and Anohni with Hercules and Love Affair. In 2023, he released the album ''Los Angeles'', in collaboration with Lol Tolhurst and Jacknife Lee. ''Spin'' rated him one of "the 100 Greatest Drummers of Alternative Music". The Rapture (album)
''The Rapture'' is the eleventh and final studio album by English rock band Siouxsie and the Banshees, released in January 1995. The album was recorded in two block sessions. The songs with cello arrangements, including the title track as well as "Fall from Grace" and "Not Forgotten", were produced by the band on their own in 1993, and John Cale produced the remaining songs in mid-1994. Recording After composing songs in Siouxsie Sioux and Budgie's house near Toulouse, France, in March and April 1993, the band went to Léon near Biarritz. They produced the first part of the album at Studio du Manoir in May. "The Double Life" was the last song that they recorded during that first session block. When Siouxsie heard the news that guitarist Mick Ronson had passed away, she asked Jon Klein to add a guitar solo on "The Double Life" at the last minute, in memory of Ronson, whereas the band usually didn't want solos.
