Stargate is a Norwegian record producer, record production and songwriter, songwriting duo, composed of Tor E. Hermansen (born 14 October 1972) and Mikkel S. Eriksen (born 10 December 1972) and based in Los Angeles, California. The duo has been credited on hit songs and albums for American contemporary R&B, R&B, pop music, pop and hip hop music, hip hop acts. Formed in 1996 in Trondheim, Norway, Stargate broke into the US music industry, recording industry in 2001, with their first major credit on the single "One Night Stand (Mis-Teeq song), One Night Stand" by British girl group Mis-Teeq, which peaked within the top five of the Billboard Charts, ''Billboard'' Dance Charts.
