From February 1984 through February 1996, DC Comics held the license to publish comic books based upon the ''Star Trek'' franchise, namely ''Star Trek: The Original Series'' (TOS) and ''Star Trek: The Next Generation'' (TNG). The main DC Comics ''Star Trek'' title was published in two series, comprising 136 issues, 9 annuals, and a number of special issues. Two series were also published based upon ''Star Trek: The Next Generation (DC Comics), Star Trek: The Next Generation'', plus several mini-series that linked TOS and TNG. Publication history Vol. 1 Volume one was published from February 1984–Nov. 1988. It featured stories set after ''Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan''. Sarek
Sarek is a fictional character in the ''Star Trek'' media franchise. He is a Vulcan astrophysicist, the Vulcan ambassador to the United Federation of Planets, and father of Spock. The character was originally played by Mark Lenard in the episode "Journey to Babel" in 1967. Lenard later voiced Sarek in the animated series, and appeared in Star Trek films and the series '' Star Trek: The Next Generation''. Saavik is a fictional character in the ''Star Trek'' universe. She first appeared in the film '' Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan'' (1982) played by Kirstie Alley. Eduardo Barreto
Luis Eduardo Barreto Ferreyra (March 1, 1954 – December 15, 2011) was a Uruguayan artist who worked in the comic book and comic strip industries including several years of prominent work for DC Comics. All of his children are artists. Two of them, Diego and Andrea, also work in comics, Diego as an artist, Andrea used to be a colorist & Guillermo who is an inker and illustrator. The three of them occasionally collaborated with Eduardo Barreto. Sal Amendola
Sal Amendola (born 1948) is an Italian Americans, Italian American comics artist and teacher primarily known for his association with DC Comics. Career Sal Amendola graduated from the School of Visual Arts in 1969 with the school’s then offered 3-year certificate. He eventually returned, with Robert McGinnis as his thesis adviser, to earn his MFA in illustration. Sal started his comics career in 1969, drawing stories for editor Dick Giordano's ''The Witching Hour (DC Comics), The Witching Hour'', and becoming Giordano's assistant editor in 1970. George Pérez
George Pérez (; June 9, 1954 – May 6, 2022) was an American comic book artist and writer, who worked primarily as a penciller. He came to prominence in the 1970s penciling ''Fantastic Four (comic book), Fantastic Four'' and ''The Avengers (comic book), The Avengers'' for Marvel Comics. In the 1980s, he penciled ''New Teen Titans, The New Teen Titans'', which became one of DC Comics' top-selling series. He penciled DC's landmark limited series ''Crisis on Infinite Earths'', followed by relaunching ''Wonder Woman (comic book), Wonder Woman'' as both writer and penciller.
