Star Awards For Best Supporting Actor
The Star Awards for Best Supporting Actor is an award presented annually at the Star Awards, a ceremony that was established in 1994. The category was introduced in 1995, at the 2nd Star Awards ceremony; Xie Shaoguang received the award for his role in ''Larceny of Love'' and it is given in honour of a Mediacorp actor who has delivered an outstanding performance in a supporting role. The nominees are determined by a team of judges employed by Mediacorp; winners are selected by a majority vote from the entire judging panel. Since its inception, the award has been given to 21 actors. Chen Hanwei is the most recent winner in this category for his role in ''Unforgivable''. Since the ceremony held in 2006, Huang Yiliang remains as the only actor to win in this category thrice, surpassing Chen Guohua, Chen Hanwei, Chen Shucheng, Tay Ping Hui, and Xie who have two wins each. The Teochew Family
The Teochew Family () is a 1995 Singaporean television series produced by Television Corporation of Singapore and Fujian TV. The series follows the trials and tribulations of the Teochew Cai Family under the patriarch Cai Qingyang, portrayed by Kenneth Tsang, from the late 1940s to the 1990s. The series also starred Zoe Tay, Chew Chor Meng and Zeng Huifen, Plot The Teochew Family tells the story of Chaozhou rice merchant Cai Qingyang, owns Tai Feng Zhan (泰丰栈). Yao Wenlong
Yao Wenlong (born 14 November 1970) is a Malaysian actor and businessman who lives in Johor Bahru and works in Singapore and Malaysia. Career Yao entered the local television scene after winning the Star Search 1993 (Male category) organised by then Singapore Broadcasting Corporation (now MediaCorp). Ix Shen
Ix Shen (born 11 March 1972), also known as Shen Qing, is a Singaporean actor and film production crew. He was based in Ukraine when Russia invaded the country in 2022, and was known to provide first-hand accounts via the Internet. Hainan Kopi Tales (琼园咖啡香) is a Singaporean Chinese drama serial produced by Mediacorp which aired in year 2000 on Channel 8. The drama serial follow the lives of Hainanese in Singapore from the 1960s to the 1990s. Vincent Ng Cheng Hye (born 6 December 1975) is a Singaporean actor, martial artist and businessman. Star Awards 2000 is the seventh installment of the annual Star Awards presented by the Television Corporation of Singapore to honour its artistes who work on Channel 8. The ceremony were hosted by Timothy Chao and Yvette Tsui. The award ceremony saw numerous changes in the award ceremony, with the Taiwan popularity votes being discontinued and were solely decided by the Malaysia viewers alone, new categories were introduced (such as the Best News/Current Affairs Presenter, now as two separate categories), and nominations for both Primetime and Daytime programs were merged. Brandon Wong (born 16 September 1971) is a Singaporean actor. He was born in Malaysia and speaks Mandarin, English, Malay and Cantonese.
