The Star Awards for Best Info-Ed Programme is an award presented annually at the Star Awards, a ceremony that was established in 1994. The category was introduced in 2006, at the 13th Star Awards ceremony; ''Y Do You Care'' received the award and it is given in honour of a Mediacorp info-ed programme which has delivered an outstanding overall performance. The nominees are determined by a team of judges employed by Mediacorp; winners are selected by a majority vote from the entire judging panel. Since its inception, the award has been given to 12 info-ed programmes. ''Cooking For A Cause'' is the most recent winner in this category. Since the ceremony held in 2017, ''Tuesday Report'' remains as the only info-ed programme to win in this category five times, surpassing ''Find Me A Singaporean'' which has two wins. Star Awards
The Star Awards (Chinese: 红星大奖) are awards for artistic and technical merit in the media organisation Mediacorp of Singapore where Mediacorp recognises entertainers under their employment for outstanding performances of the year. The awards are given annually in a ceremony. The various category winners are awarded a trophy, with initial designs featuring various star shapes. The star was subsequently removed and the trophy is designed as a S shaped column, depicting the star. History The 1st Star Awards presentation was held on 26 February 1994, took place at the Caldecott Broadcast Centre, MediaCorp TV Theatre with an audience of about 500 people. There have no other pre-show and post-awards ceremony held in that year. Star Awards 20 (also SA20, Chinese: 红星大奖 20) was a double television award ceremony which was held in Singapore. It is part of the annual Star Awards organised by MediaCorp for the two free-to-air channels, MediaCorp Channels 8 and U. The twentieth installment of ''Star Awards'' was broadcast live on Channel 8, on 20 and 27 April 2014. The first ceremony was held at the MediaCorp TV Theatre while the second ceremony was held at Suntec Singapore International Convention and Exhibition Centre. These ceremonies will also be broadcast on 8 International and the second ceremony on Toggle, Astro AEC (SD) and Astro Quan Jia HD (HD). Star Awards 2019 (also SA25, Chinese: 红星大奖25) is a television award ceremony which is held in Singapore. Star Awards 2019 marks the 25th anniversary, or Silver Jubilee, of the Star Awards since it was first awarded in 1994, hence subtitled ''Star Awards 25''. The theme for the ceremony is "The Moment", highlighting the best moments of the local television industries alongside Singapore's talents and audiences as well. This is also the first award ceremony to feature a vocalized version of the Awards' theme tune, titled 《星光》(lit. "Starlight"). Star Awards 2018 (also SA2018SG, Chinese: 红星大奖2018) is a television award ceremony which is held in Singapore. The Post Party and Ceremony Awards was broadcast live on 22 April 2018. A total of 15 awards were handed out during the ceremony, among which the Special Achievement Award, an award given out to a celebrity in recognition to meritorious contribution, returned after a 15-year absence, with the award last presented in 2003, in the place of All-Time Favourite Artiste, which was not presented this year, and the third ceremony overall, after 2007 and 2013.
