Stan Jones (mystery Writer)
Stan Jones (born 1947) is an American writer of mystery novels, and is co-author of a non-fiction oral history book about the Exxon Valdez oil spill. Jones was born in Anchorage, Alaska Alaska ( ; russian: Аляска, Alyaska; ale, Alax̂sxax̂; ; ems, Alas'kaaq; Yup'ik: ''Alaskaq''; tli, Anáaski) is a state located in the Western United States on the northwest extremity of North America. A semi-exclave of the U.S ..., where he lives today. All of his books to date are set in Alaska. He has written seven books in the Nathan Active mystery series. Oral history is the collection and study of historical information about individuals, families, important events, or everyday life using audiotapes, videotapes, or transcriptions of planned interviews. These interviews are conducted with people who participated in or observed past events and whose memories and perceptions of these are to be preserved as an aural record for future generations. Sharon ( he, שָׁרוֹן ''Šārôn'' "plain") is a given name as well as an Israeli surname. In English-speaking areas, Sharon is now predominantly a feminine given name.
