St Cadoc's Y.C.
St Cadoc's Youth Club is a Scottish football club based in Newton Mearns, East Renfrewshire. They were formed in 1987 by David Jones, janitor at St Cadoc's Primary School and have grown into a large community sports club playing football and netball. The club formed an adult side and successfully applied to join the newly founded West of Scotland Football League for the 2020–21 season. As part of the facility requirements for the league, they entered an agreement to groundshare with fellow West of Scotland League club Benburb at New Tinto Park in Govan, Glasgow. St Cadoc’s have enjoyed recent back-to-back promotions, where they currently play in the West of Scotland Premier Division. Beith Juniors FC
Beith Juniors Football Club are a Scottish football club from the town of Beith, North Ayrshire. Members of the Scottish Junior Football Association, they compete in the West of Scotland Football League. Beith play at Bellsdale Park. Their main rival is Kilbirnie Ladeside. History Formed in 1938, they play in black and white strips (uniforms) and their nicknames are ''the Cabes'' or ''the Mighty''. They were formed as a junior football successor to the disbanded senior side Beith, who had previously competed in the Scottish Football League. In the club's first season in 1939–40 they reached the District Cup Final and finished as runners up and then the second world war stopped football. In the 1940s the club were mostly a mid table club and reached the Ayrshire Cup final in 1948–49 but again finished as runners up. Bob McHugh (footballer)
Robert McHugh (born 16 July 1991) is a Scottish professional footballer who plays as a striker for St Cadoc's. McHugh has previously played for Motherwell, Falkirk, Greenock Morton and Queen's Park, as well as loan spells with Queen of the South, Airdrieonians and East Kilbride. Career Motherwell Born in Glasgow, McHugh made his Motherwell debut when he came on as a substitute in a 2–0 win over Hibernian in May 2008. McHugh scored his first Motherwell goal when he took the field as a substitute in an 8–1 win over Flamurtari in the Europa League second round, scoring Motherwell's eighth goal in that match. Ronan Hughes (born 15 December 1998) is a Scottish professional footballer who used to play for East Kilbride as a midfielder. Club career Hughes turned professional with Hamilton Academical in January 2015. He had first joined the club at the age of 10, and played for them every youth level. He made his senior debut on 11 May 2016. He moved on loan to Stirling Albion in September 2018. In June 2019 he signed a contract extension with Hamilton, until summer 2020. Gary Muir (born 15 December 1985) is a Scottish professional footballer, who is currently a player for St Cadoc's Y.C. United States After playing in Scotland during his teenage years, Muir moved to the United States to develop his playing career and was uniquely awarded a 100% scholarship fund. A successful four years in the USA began as Captain of the Louisburg College Hurricanes for two seasons in North Carolina, leading to Captaincy at the University of Hartford in Connecticut. In 2005, he was awarded All-American status in the NJCAA, named in the Division I All-Region team, and also selected for the Mid-Atlantic district team. Alan Lithgow (born 12 March 1988) is a Scottish professional association football player who plays for St Cadoc's. Career Born in Bellshill, Lithgow began his professional career with Heart of Midlothian, joining from youth side East Kilbride Burgh in 2004. Lithgow made his competitive debut for Hearts in a 4–0 League Cup win over Alloa Athletic in September 2006, appearing as a second-half substitute for the injured Hristos Karipidis.
