Thornhill is a suburban district in the Regional Municipality of York in Ontario, Canada. The western portion of Thornhill is within the City of Vaughan and its eastern portion is within the City of Markham, Ontario, Markham, with Yonge Street forming the boundary between Vaughan and Markham. Thornhill is situated along the northern border of Toronto, centred on Yonge, and is also immediately south of the City of Richmond Hill, Ontario, Richmond Hill. Once a police village, Thornhill is still a postal designation. As of Canada 2016 Census, 2016, its total population, including both its Vaughan and Markham sections, was 112,719. Karen is a suburb of Nairobi in Kenya, lying south-west of Nairobi's central business district. The suburb of Karen borders the Ngong Forest and is home to the Ngong Racecourse. Karen and Langata previously formed a somewhat isolated area of mid to high-income residents, but the two suburbs have become increasingly interconnected and linked to the rest of Nairobi through the expansion of the eponymous Langata Road and Ngong Road, the latter project completed in 2021. Sibu is a landlocked city located in the central region of Sarawak, Malaysia. It serves as the capital of Sibu District within Sibu Division and is situated on the island of Borneo. Covering an area of , the city is positioned at the confluence of the Rajang and Igan Rivers, approximately 60 kilometres from the South China Sea and north-east of the state capital, Kuching. Sibu is characterised by its diverse population, with a significant portion being of Chinese descent, primarily from the Fuzhou region.
