Srinagar Railway Station
Srinagar railway station is a railway station of the city of Srinagar in the Jammu and Kashmir, India. The station is part of the Jammu–Baramulla line and lies in the newly created Jammu division, which once completed, will connect the city to the rail network of India. Currently, services are to Baramulla and Banihal. The railway line has now fully completed is expected to increase tourism and travel to the Kashmir Valley. The Chenab Bridge, between Sangaldan Railway Station and Reasi Railway Station.was completed in 2022. The station is also planned to be part of a second railway line, the Srinagar–Kargil–Leh line. Jammu railway division, headquartered at Jammu, is one of the six railway divisions under the jurisdiction of Northern Railway zone of the Indian Railways in India. Srinagar International Airport , officially named as Sheikh Ul Alam International Airport, is an international airport serving Srinagar, the summer capital of the Indian union territory of Jammu and Kashmir. It is owned by the Indian Air Force , and the Airports Authority of India operates a civil enclave at the airport. The airport is located in Budgam, about south of Srinagar. It was designated as an international airport in 2005. It has an integrated domestic and international terminal with one asphalt runway. Lal Chowk () is a city square in Srinagar, in the Indian union territory of Jammu and Kashmir. The square was given its name by left-wing activists who were inspired by the Russian Revolution as they fought the princely stateMaharaja, Hari Singh.
