The Sri Lanka cricket team toured Scotland in May 2019 to play two One Day International (ODI) matches. The teams have played ODIs against each other twice before, with Sri Lanka winning both matches. The matches took place ahead of the 2019 Cricket World Cup, and were part of Sri Lanka's preparation for the tournament. Ahead of the World Cup, Dimuth Karunaratne was named as Sri Lanka's ODI captain, replacing Lasith Malinga. Sri Lanka won the series 1–0, after the first match was washed out. Kyle Coetzer
Kyle James Coetzer (born 14 April 1984) is a Scottish cricketer and former captain of the side in international formats. He captained at under-15, under-17 and under-19 levels including skippering in the 2004 U-19 Cricket World Cup in Bangladesh. Coetzer was appointed Member of the Order of the British Empire (MBE) in the 2019 Birthday Honours for services to cricket. He became the third Scottish cricketer to receive an MBE for services to cricket. In January 2020, Coetzer was named as the Associate Cricketer of the Year by the International Cricket Council (ICC). He announced his retirement from Twenty20 International cricket on 21 July 2022. Michael Leask
Michael Alexander Leask (born 29 October 1990) is a Scottish cricketer. He played for Scotland in the 2014 Cricket World Cup Qualifier tournament. On 9 May 2014 at Aberdeen, he scored 42 off 16 balls in an ODI against England and was named as the man of the match, despite Scotland losing the game. Ahead of the 2016 season, Leask signed for Somerset. In September 2017, after two seasons with Somerset, it was announced that Leask was to leave the county at the end of the season. He made his first-class debut for Scotland in the 2015–17 ICC Intercontinental Cup on 1 October 2017. Narangoda Liyanaarachchige Thisara Chirantha Perera ( si, තිසර පෙරේරා; born 3 April 1989), popularly as Thisara Perera, is a former Sri Lankan international cricketer who played all formats for the national team. He also captained the team in limited-overs formats. Domestically he plays for Sri Lanka Army Sports Club in the Premier Trophy and Premier Limited-Overs Tournament, and the Jaffna Stallions in the Lanka Premier League. Perera has played franchise T20 cricket all around the world for numerous leagues. Primarily a bowling all-rounder, he is an aggressive left-handed batsman who can hit big sixes in death overs and is a useful right-arm medium-fast bowler. Mathurage Don Kusal Janith Perera ( si, කුසල් පෙරේරා) (born 17 August 1990), more commonly known as Kusal Perera, is a professional Sri Lankan cricketer and a former limited overs Captain of Sri Lanka national cricket team. He plays all forms of the game for the Sri Lanka national cricket team, and currently one of the permanent top order batsman in all formats. Balapuwaduge Kusal Gimhan Mendis, generally known as Kusal Mendis is a professional Sri Lankan cricketer who plays as a top-order batter in all forms of the game. He only played sixteen first-class matches before playing for the national side. In November 2017, he was named the One Day International (ODI) batsman of the year for the 2016–17 season at Sri Lanka Cricket's annual awards. Balapuwaduge Manukulasuriya Amith Jeevan Mendis ( si, ජීවන් මෙන්ඩිස්; born 15 January 1983) is a former Sri Lankan professional cricketer, who played limited over internationals. An all-rounder who bowls leg spin, Mendis has represented Sri Lanka in the 2012 World Twenty20 and 2015 World Cup. Angelo Davis Mathews, ( Tamil: அஞ்செலோ மத்தியூஸ்; born 2 June 1987) is a professional Sri Lankan cricketer and a former captain in all formats. Even though he represented Sri Lanka in all three formats, Mathews currently plays Test cricket for Sri Lanka. Ranasinghe Arachchige Suranga Lakmal ( si, රණසිංහ ආරච්චිගේ සුරංග ලක්මාල්; born 10 March 1987) is a former professional Sri Lankan cricketer, who played in all formats of the game and is a former Test cricket captain. Craig Donald Wallace (born 27 June 1990) is a Scottish cricketer. Wallace is a right-handed batsman who fields as a wicket-keeper. He was born in Dundee and was educated at the High School of Dundee. Thomas Barclay Sole (born 12 June 1996) is a Scottish cricketer. He made his List A debut for Northamptonshire against the South Africans team on 21 May 2017, during South Africa's tour of England. He made his One Day International (ODI) debut for Scotland against Ireland in the 2017–18 United Arab Emirates Tri-Nation Series.
