Springleaf MRT Station
Springleaf MRT station is an underground Mass Rapid Transit (MRT) station on the Thomson–East Coast line (TEL) in Singapore. Situated along Upper Thomson Road, it serves the neighbourhood of Springleaf and the nearby Springleaf Nature Park. It will also serve future housing developments in the Springleaf area. The station is operated by SMRT Trains. First announced in August 2012 as part of the Thomson line (TSL), the station was constructed as part of TEL Phase 2 (TEL 2) after plans for the TSL and the Eastern Region line (ERL) were merged. The station was built close to the shophouses along Upper Thomson Road. An earth retaining stabilising structure was installed to minimise ground movement. Springleaf Tower () is a 37-storey, office and residential skyscraper located in the central business district of Singapore located on 3 Anson Road and near Prince Edward Road, The development is in the zone of Shenton Way and Tanjong Pagar near other skyscrapers, such as 8 Shenton Way, MAS Building, International Plaza, and Anson Centre, all of which are roughly 100 metres away. It is a Grade A office building. History Springleaf Tower was completed in 2002. Firms involved in the development include CapitaLand Commercial Limited, CapitaLand Limited, Benson Global, and DTZ Debenham Tie Leung (South East Asia) Private Limited. However, the Springleaf Tower's construction was not smooth. In the late 1990s, the developer of the building, a subsidiary of the now defunct Ban Hin Leong Group, ran into financial problems. ''Zapped'' is a British television sitcom, set in both the real world and a fantasy world, with the majority of characters and stories wholly set in the latter. It stars James Buckley as Brian Weaver, a real world inhabitant who becomes trapped in Munty, a town in the fantasy world. Buckley announced during a live stream on 8 February 2019 that the show had been cancelled and he would not be making any more episodes. In February 2021, all episodes of the show were added to BBC iPlayer. Plot Brian is an office worker in West London who reluctantly takes delivery of a package addressed to someone in a place called Munty.
