''Spotlight on Rick'' is the eleventh studio album by rock and roll and pop idol Rick Nelson and his fourth for Decca Records, released on November 23, 1964. The track, "A Happy Guy", was released as a single and peaked at number 82 on the ''Billboard'' Hot 100. and number 83 on the Cashbox singles chart.'''' it features the early recording of "I'm a Fool" (which would later be a hit for Dino, Desi & Billy the following year) and a cover of Chuck Berry "I'm Talking About You",(which he would re-record it on his album ''Garden Party'' 8 years later). Jimmie Haskell arranged the album and Charles "Bud" Dant produced it. The album debuted on the '' Cashbox'' looking ahead albums chart in the issue dated January 16, 1965, and remained on the chart for four weeks, peaking at number 107. Ricky Nelson
Eric Hilliard "Ricky" Nelson (May 8, 1940 – December 31, 1985) was an American musician and actor. From age eight, he starred alongside his family in the radio and television series ''The Adventures of Ozzie and Harriet''. In 1957, he began a long and successful career as a popular recording artist. His fame as both a recording artist and television star also led to a motion picture role co-starring alongside John Wayne, Dean Martin, Walter Brennan, and Angie Dickinson in Howard Hawks's Western (genre), western feature film ''Rio Bravo (film), Rio Bravo'' (1959). The ''Billboard'' Hot 100, also known as simply the Hot 100, is the music industry standard record chart in the United States for songs, published weekly by ''Billboard'' magazine. Chart rankings are based on sales (physical and digital), online streaming, and radio airplay in the U.S. A new chart is compiled and released online to the public by ''Billboard''s website on Tuesdays but post-dated to the following Saturday, when the printed magazine first reaches newsstands. The weekly tracking period for sales is currently Friday–Thursday, after being changed in July 2015. It was initially Monday–Sunday when Nielsen started tracking sales in 1991. Sonny Curtis
Sonny Curtis (born May 9, 1937) is an American singer and songwriter. Known for his collaborations with Buddy Holly, he was a member of the Crickets and continued with the band after Holly's death. Curtis's best known compositions include " Walk Right Back", a major hit in 1961 for the Everly Brothers; " I Fought the Law", notably covered by the Bobby Fuller Four and the Clash; and " Love is All Around", the theme song for ''The Mary Tyler Moore Show''. Kenny Rankin
Kenneth Joseph Rankin (February 10, 1940 – June 7, 2009) was an American singer and songwriter in the folk rock and singer-songwriter genres; he was influenced by jazz. Rankin often sang notes which were in a high range to express emotion. Biography Rankin was born in Manhattan, New York City. He was introduced to music by his mother, who sang at home and for friends. Early in his career he worked as a singer-songwriter. Three of Rankin's albums entered the ''Billboard'' magazine Album Chart. Most of his career was in pop music. He was a guitarist on the album '' Bringing It All Back Home'' by Bob Dylan. Larry Kusik (also known as Larry Kusic) is a lyricist. He is perhaps best known for writing the lyrics for the tune " Speak Softly Love", the love theme from the 1972 film ''The Godfather''. He has also written lyrics to many other movie themes, including "A Time for Us" from the 1968 film version of ''Romeo and Juliet'', ''Murder on the Orient Express'', ''Mommie Dearest'', "Love Said Goodbye" from the 1974 film ''The Godfather Part II'' and ''Serpico''.
