Sports Writers Association Of Ghana
The Sports Writers Association of Ghana (SWAG) is professional body in Ghana that includes as sports journalist, analysts, commentators and recognized sports associations in Ghana. The Association holds the SWAG night every year where the best sport Ghanaian sport personalities, clubs and cooperate institutions involved in sports development and promotion are honoured. The association was formed in 1968. In 2011, Asamoah Gyan won the sportsman of the year award, in recognition of his contribution to the Black Stars. Kwabena Yeboah
Kwabena Yeboah (born 1967) at Apam in the Central Region of Ghana, is a Ghanaian veteran sports journalist, writer and commentator. He is known for hosting sports talk shows, weekly sports reviews and live commentary on GTV. The expression ''Oluwaa'' is attributed to Kwabena for his reaction to goals during commentaries. Joe Aggrey
Joe Aggrey is a Ghanaian veteran journalist, writer and politician who served as the Deputy Minister of Youth and Sports from 2001 to 2005. In 1999 he emerged as the Ghana Journalists Association (GJA) Journalist of the year. From 1985 to 2001, he served as the president of the Sports Writers Association of Ghana. In 1999, he was adjudged the GIJ Journalist of the Year Career Sports Journalism Aggrey is a journalist who worked specifically as a sports journalist and writer. Joe Lartey
Joachim Awuley Lartey (6 June 1927 – 26 April 2024) was a Ghanaian commentator and journalist. He worked with the Ghana Broadcasting Corporation from 1961 to 1973 and 1990, and with Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria between 1978 and 1990. Lartey was ranked amongst the top five African football commentators by Goal, an international association football news website.
