Sport Republic
Sport Republic is a London based sports investment firm founded by Rasmus Ankersen and Henrik Kraft and financed by lead investor Dragan Šolak. The firm currently holds an 80% stake in the EFL Championship club Southampton. On 19 August 2022, Sport Republic acquired a 70% stake in Turkish club Göztepe, becoming the first foreign investor to buy a club in the Turkish football industry. Background Sport Republic was set up by Rasmus Ankersen, who was previously director of football at Brentford, and Henrik Kraft, formerly a partner at private equity firm KKR. Rasmus Ankersen
Rasmus Ankersen (born 22 September 1983) is an author, public speaker, director of football at Southampton and president of Göztepe. He is the co-founder and CEO of Sport Republic, the major shareholder of EFL Championship club Southampton and TFF First League club Göztepe. Ankersen was Director of Football at Brentford between 2015 and 2020. He also has a part-time role as chairman of Danish Superliga club FC Midtjylland. Early football career Ankersen had a short career as a professional football player with FC Midtjylland in Denmark, before suffering a serious knee injury in his first senior game. He then studied for UEFA's A Licence, and became the assistant-coach for the under-17 team at a club. Roméo Lavia (born 6 January 2004) is a Belgian professional footballer who plays as a defensive midfielder for Premier League club Chelsea and the Belgium national team. A product of Anderlecht's academy, he made his professional debut for Premier League side Manchester City in 2021, before being signed by Southampton in 2022. Mislav Oršić (; born 29 December 1992) is a Croatian professional footballer who plays as a left winger for Süper Lig club Trabzonspor and the Croatia national team. Born in Zagreb, Oršić started his senior career at Inter Zaprešić in 2009. Following short stints with Spezia and Celje throughout 2013 and 2014, he moved to South Korea. Luton () is a town and unitary authority with borough status, in Bedfordshire, England. Nathan Jones (Welsh Footballer)
Nathan Jason Jones (born 28 May 1973) is a Welsh professional football manager most recently for club Southampton. He is also a former player who played as a left back or midfielder. Jones began his career with Football Conference club Merthyr Tydfil before joining Luton Town in the summer of 1995. He became homesick at Luton so took an opportunity to move to Spain with Badajoz and then Numancia and returned to England with Southend United in 1997. Ralph Hasenhüttl
Ralph Hasenhüttl (; born 9 August 1967) is an Austrian professional football manager and former player who was most recently the manager of Premier League club Southampton. During his playing career, he played as a centre forward. Playing career Born in Graz, Hasenhüttl began his career with hometown club GAK, making his first team debut in the 1985–86 season. He transferred to Austria Wien in 1989, with whom he won three successive Bundesliga titles and two Austrian Cups.
