George Talbot (entomologist)
George Talbot Royal Entomological Society, FES (26 October 1882 – 13 April 1952) was an English people, English entomologist who specialised in Rhopalocera, butterflies. He wrote about 150 Scientific literature, scientific papers, the majority being primarily Systematics, systematic, consisting of the description of new species or the revision of various Genus, genera. He was also responsible for the Curator, curation and preservation of the James John Joicey, Joicey collection of Lepidoptera prior to its accession by the Natural History Museum, London, Natural History Museum. Erebidae
The Erebidae are a family of moths in the superfamily Noctuoidea. The family is among the largest families of moths by species count and contains a wide variety of well-known macromoth groups. The family includes the underwings (''Catocala''); litter moths ( Herminiinae); tiger, lichen, and wasp moths ( Arctiinae); tussock moths ( Lymantriinae), including the arctic woolly bear moth ('' Gynaephora groenlandica''); piercing moths (Calpinae and others); micronoctuoid moths ( Micronoctuini); snout moths ( Hypeninae); and zales, though many of these common names can also refer to moths outside the Erebidae (for example, crambid snout moths). Seram Island
Seram (formerly spelled Ceram; also Seran or Serang) is the largest and main island of Maluku province of Indonesia, despite Ambon Island's historical importance. It is located just north of the smaller Ambon Island and a few other adjacent islands, such as Saparua, Haruku, Nusa Laut and the Banda Islands. Geography and geology Seram is traversed by a central mountain range, the highest point of which, Mount Binaiya, is covered with dense rain forests. Its remarkably complex geology is because of its location at the meeting of several tectonic microplates, which have been described as "one of the most tectonically complex areas on Earth".
