Luis Lucia
Luis Lucia Mingarro (24 May 1914, in Valencia – 12 March 1984, in Madrid) was a Spanish film director and screenwriter. His father, Luis Lucia, was the Spanish minister of communications in 1935. He studied Law and was the attorney of CIFESA film studios. As director, he discovered child prodigies Marisol, Rocío Dúrcal and made them stars. He tried the same with Ana Belén but her film debut '' Zampo y yo'' was a flop. He was interred at Cementerio de Majadahonda, Majadahonda, Madrid, Spain. Antonio Ozores
Antonio Ozores Puchol (24 August 1928 – 12 May 2010) was a Spanish actor. He was the son of actors Mariano Ozores and Luisa Puchol, brother of director Mariano Ozores (Jr.) and of actor Jose Luis Ozores, father of Emma Ozores, and uncle of actress Adriana Ozores. In 1960, he married Elisa Montés (actress and sister of the actresses Emma Penella and Terele Pávez), and was later divorced. He died after a long battle with cancer on 12 May 2010, at the age of 81. Mikaela (singer)
Micaela Rodríguez Cuesta (19 June 1935 – 29 March 1991), known professionally as Mikaela, was a Spanish singer and actress. She began her film career in 1956 and played her first starring role in the Spanish film '' The Red Rose'' (1960). Her signature song, "La luna y el toro" (1964), was a number-one hit in Spain and earned her an award in 1965. She died on 29 March 1991 from leucemia. Jesús Franco Manera (12 May 1930 – 2 April 2013), also commonly known as Jess Franco, was a Spanish filmmaker, composer, and actor, known as a highly prolific director of low-budget exploitation and B-movies. He worked in many different genres during his career, but was best known for his horror and erotic films, often incorporating surrealist elements. In a career spanning from 1954 to 2013, he wrote, directed, produced, acted in, and scored approximately 173 feature films, working both in his native Spain and (during the rule of Francisco Franco) in France, West Germany, Switzerland and Portugal. Vampiresas 1930
''Vampiresas 1930 (volando hacia la fama)'' () is a 1961 Spanish musical comedy film directed by Jesús Franco. The film is about two musicians, Tony who gets the attention of a silent film star and Daniel who falls for a dancer. The four work together until they find themselves out of work and begin performing as a jazz band. The four suddenly get caught up in a murder racket, that was actually committed by a two gangsters who run the casino that the four play at. Initially a project set for director Pedro Lazaga, delays on the film led it to be directed by Franco. During production, Franco re-wrote most of the script. The 15th Cannes Film Festival took place from 7 to 23 May 1962. Japanese writer and diplomat Tetsurō Furukaki served as jury president for the main competition. The Palme d'Or went to the '' O Pagador de Promessas'' (''Keeper of Promises'') by Anselmo Duarte. During the Cannes Film Festival of 1961, Robert Favre le Bret, artistic director of the Cannes Film Festival, with the agreement of the French Union of Film Critics, had decided to establish the International Critics' Week during the next Festival. José Luis López Vázquez de la Torre Medal of Merit in Labour, MMT (11 March 1922 – 2 November 2009) was a Spanish actor, comedian, costume designer, scenic designer, and assistant director whose career spanned nearly seven decades. He was one of the most prolific and successful actors in Spain in the 20th century, starring in 262 films between 1946 and 2007. Internationally he was best known for his lead role in the surrealist horror telefilm ''La cabina'' (1972).
