South African Cricket Team In Australia In 2018–19
The South Africa cricket team toured Australia in October and November 2018 to play three One Day Internationals (ODIs) and one Twenty20 International (T20I) match. Ahead of the ODI series, a 50-over practice match took place at the Manuka Oval in Canberra. Ahead of the T20I match, a 20-over practice match took place in Brisbane. In April 2018, it was confirmed that the Carrara Stadium would host its first ever international cricket match. Prior to the tour, Aaron Finch replaced Tim Paine as captain, and both Josh Hazlewood and Alex Carey were appointed joint vice-captains of the Australia ODI cricket team. The final ODI of the series was the 600th to be played by the South African team. South Africa won the ODI series 2–1. Aaron James Finch (born 17 November 1986) is an Australian cricket commentator and former international cricketer who served as the captain of the Australian cricket team in One Day International, ODI and Twenty20 International, T20I cricket. Finch currently holds the record for two of the three highest individual scores in Twenty20 Internationals (T20I), his score of 172 against Zimbabwe national cricket team, Zimbabwe in July 2018 beating his previous record of 156 against England national cricket team, England in 2013. D'Arcy John Matthew Short (born 9 August 1990) is an Australian international cricketer, who plays One Day Internationals (ODIs) and Twenty20 Internationals (T20Is) for the Australian national team. Alex Tyson Carey (born 27 August 1991) is an Australian international cricketer who plays for the Australian national team as a wicket-keeper-batter.
