Sotho-Tswana Peoples
The Sotho-Tswana, also known as the Sotho or Basotho, although the term is now closely associated with the Southern Sotho peoples are a meta-ethnicity of Southern Africa. They are a large and diverse group of people who speak Sotho-Tswana languages. The group is predominantly found in Botswana, Lesotho, South Africa, and the western part of Zambia. Smaller groups can also be found in Namibia and Zimbabwe. The Sotho-Tswana people would have diversified into their current arrangement during the course of the 2nd millennium, but they retain a number of linguistic and cultural characteristics that distinguish them from other Bantu-speakers of southern Africa. Meta-ethnicity
Meta-ethnicity is a level of commonality that is wider (" meta-") and more general (i.e., might differ on specifics) than ethnicity, but does not necessarily correspond to (and may actually transcend) nation or nationality. It is a relatively recent term (or neologism) occasionally used in academic literature or public discourse on ethnic studies. In colloquial discourse, it usually signifies a larger in-group of distinct ethnic groups who identify more closely with each other than they would with out-group ethnic groups. The groups within the in-group may be genetically and culturally related which reinforces the grouping. Pedi People

Makholokoe Clan
The MaKholokoe are a subset of the Kgatla tribe, Kgatla (Bakgatla ba Mmakau) and descend from Morena Khetsi, son of Morena Tabane. The Kholokoe people are historically found in the eastern Free State (province), Free State (Harrismith, Wetsieshoek, Vrede, Kestel, Deneysville, etc.), KwaZulu-Natal (in Nquthu, Nqutu), Mpumalanga (Daggakraal, Amersfoort), Greylingstad, Northwest, Gauteng and in Lesotho. They are the descendants of Bakgatla Chief Tabane and Princess Mathulare, daughter of the Bafokeng Chief. Bataung
The Taung tribe or Bataung is a tribe of Bantu origin which speaks the Sotho-Tswana group of languages, namely, Setswana, Sepedi, Sesotho and Lozi.
