Chonnasorn Sajakul (; ; born November 18, 1996), better known by her Thai name#Nicknames, nickname and stage name, Sorn (; ), is a Thai singer and internet celebrity based in South Korea. She was the winner of the first season of ''K-Pop Star Hunt'' in 2011. She later debuted as a member of the South Korean girl group, CLC (group), CLC, under Cube Entertainment, from their debut in March 2015 until her departure from the group in November 2021. She also produces videos for her YouTube channel ''Produsorn'' (stylized in all caps), which launched in 2019. On December 3, 2021, Sorn signed with Wild Entertainment Group as a solo artist. Sorn, East Ayrshire
Sorn (, meaning a kiln) is a small village in East Ayrshire, Scotland. It is situated on the River Ayr. It has a population of roughly 350. Its neighbouring village is Catrine. Sorn Castle lies just outside the village. History Sorn was a parish in Ayrshire. One gazetteer states "It is bounded on the north by Galston parish, Galston; on the east by Muirkirk; on the south by Auchinleck; and on the west by Mauchline." Another states that Sorn did not exist until 1658 when it was disjoined from the parish of Mauchline. Sorn has a Covenanter history. Sorn today Local businesses and services include: a cafe, a gift shop, a church, a village hall, a bowling green and a primary school. In November 2007 the school was threatened with closure by East Ayrshire Council. Sorn Castle
Sorn Castle is located by the River Ayr just outside the village of Sorn in East Ayrshire, Scotland. The castle comprises a medieval tower house, which was extended over the years, and remodelled in the Scots Baronial style by David Bryce in the 1860s. The castle is protected as a category A listed building. History A tablet on the castle wall states "Extant AD 1409, Added to AD 1783, Restored AD 1865, Enlarged AD 1909". The original three-storey tower house is located at the south-west of the present building, and was constructed in the 15th century, or possibly earlier. This tower was extended westwards in the 16th century. Additions were made in the late 18th century in a castellated style. In the 1860s the Somervell family owned the castle, and commissioned David Bryce to remodel the building. Sorn Castle was bought in 1908 by Thomas W. Sørn And Bernt
Elsehul (also Paddocks Cove, Else Cove, Elsie Bay, Elsa Bay, Else's Hole, and Else Bay) is a bay along the north coast of South Georgia Island in the southern Atlantic Ocean. Elsehul is approximately wide, and is separated from nearby Undine Harbour by the narrow Survey Isthmus. The name "Elsehul" dates back to the period 1905–12 and was probably applied by Norwegian sealers and whalers working in the area. The Discovery Investigations (DI) expedition of 1930 surveyed Elsehul and the surrounding area, naming many features. Sorn Seavmey
Sorn Seavmey (; born 14 September 1995) is a Cambodian taekwondo practitioner and gold medalist in the women's under-73 kg event at 2014 Asian Games in Incheon, South Korea. She was also a 2013 SEA Games gold medalist in Myanmar and the 2017 SEA Games in Malaysia. In 2014, she won Cambodia's first gold medal at the Asian Games since its participation in 1954. At the 2014 Incheon Asian Games, Seavmey defeated her first-round opponent from Uzbekistan 29-7, then defeated her Filipino opponent in the semi-final 6-5. In the final round, she defeated her opponent from Iran 7-4, becoming the first Cambodian to win an Asian Games medal. She is 183 cm and trains with her brother Sorn Elit and sister Sorn Davin, who also practice taekwondo. Nai Htaw Sorn (Burmese name Nai Tun Thein) was a Mon ( Burmese) political activist. He attended primary school in Kado Village and continued middle and high school in Moulmein, Myanmar. Education In 1938, he passed High School with honor for several subjects and won the award of Collegiate Scholarship for five years. In 1940 he passed the first year of university examinations with honor in chemistry. In the same year World War II started, and as a result, the university was closed until 1944. James Gordon McIntyre, Lord Sorn
James Gordon McIntyre, Lord Sorn, (1896–1983) was a Scottish lawyer and judge who served as a Senator of the College of Justice. He was also a decorated war hero from the First World War. He was generally known by his middle name, Gordon. Life He was born in Glasgow on 21 July 1896, the son of Thomas McIntyre and Jeanie Paterson. He had three sisters. His father purchased Sorn Castle in 1908 and began remodelling it in 1909. His father owned a shipping line and was Chairman of Lloyds Register but abandoned many of his business activities to concentrate on the estate. Gordon, as he was generally known, was educated at Winchester College. In the First World War he joined at the outset (aged 18), serving in the Ayrshire Yeomanry.
