Sonja Van Den Ende
Sonja van den Ende is a Dutch citizen journalist and political activist. She reported on the wars in Syria and later the Russian invasion of Ukraine. In her reporting she is critical of the mainstream media in the Western world, which she accuses of spreading lies about Russia and the wars in Ukraine and Syria. In turn, her reporting has been described by said media (ex. ''De Telegraaf'' or ''The New York Times'') as pro-Russian and affiliated with Russian propaganda and disinformation. Career Politics In 2011, Van den Ende was a candidate Member of Parliament for the province of Overijssel on behalf of the Socialist Party (SP). She was very active in the SP-led demonstrations against the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, as well as in support for Palestine and Hamas. ''Het Parool'' () is an Amsterdam-based daily newspaper. It was first published on 10 February 1941 as a resistance paper during the German occupation of the Netherlands (1940–1945). In English, its name means ''The Password'' or ''The Motto''. History Second World War The paper was preceded by a stenciled newsletter which was started in May 1940 by Frans Goedhart. In late 1940, Wim van Norden joined the group of producers of the newsletter; Van Norden would later serve as director of the newspaper between 1945 and 1979. The Russian-occupied territories of Ukraine are areas of southern and eastern Ukraine that are controlled by Russia as a result of the Russo-Ukrainian War and the Russian invasion of Ukraine, ongoing invasion. Aleksandr Dugin
Aleksandr Gelyevich Dugin (; born 7 January 1962) is a Russian far-right political philosopher. He is the leading theorist of Russian neo-Eurasianism. Born into a military intelligence family, Dugin was an anti-communist dissident during the 1980s, and joined the far-right Pamyat organization. After the dissolution of the Soviet Union, he co-founded the National Bolshevik Party, which espoused National Bolshevism, with Eduard Limonov in 1993 before leaving in 1998.
