''Son of a Bad Man'' is a 1949 American Western film directed by Ray Taylor starring Lash LaRue and Al "Fuzzy" St. John. The film was shot at the Iverson Movie Ranch. Plot Lash and Fuzzy investigate the masked bandit El Sombre and an Eastern Syndicate buying up land to illegally charge tolls. Ray Taylor (director)
Raymond Edgar Taylor (1 December 1888 – 15 February 1952) was an American film director. He directed 159 films between 1926 and 1949. His debut was the 1926 film serial '' Fighting with Buffalo Bill''. Ray Taylor was one of the few Hollywood directors who specialized in a single type of film: he was an action specialist. Many action directors would be called upon at one time or another to direct a mainstream drama, romance, or mystery, but Ray Taylor established himself early in westerns and action fare, and he worked in this capacity throughout his career. Even a brief tenure directing the campus-capers "Collegians" shorts for Universal was appropriate for Taylor, as these two-reel subjects often emphasized visual action. Francis McDonald
Francis McDonald (August 22, 1891 – September 18, 1968) was an American actor whose career spanned 52 years. Early years Born on August 22, 1891, in Bowling Green, Kentucky, McDonald was the son of John Francis McDonald and Catherine Ashlue McDonald. He was educated at Xavier University, St. Xavier College in Cincinnati, Ohio. Stage and film McDonald's started acting professionally in Repertory theatre, stock theater with the Forepaugh Stock Company in Cincinnati. Following eight months with it, he worked one season with a stock company in Seattle, after which he performed for three seasons with a troupe in San Diego and Honolulu. He concluded his tenure in stock theater as juvenile leading man with the American Stock Company in Spokane, Washington. Edna Milton Holland (September 20, 1895 – May 4, 1982) was an American actress. Her stage, screen and television career lasted from the beginning of the 20th century to 1965. Biography Holland was the daughter of comedian Edmund Milton Holland and actress Emity Seward. Her uncle, Joseph Holland, was an actor. As a child, she played in stage productions by David Belasco. Beginning in 1915, Holland appeared in silent films, including '' Always in the Way'', '' The Feud Girl'', ''Mary Moreland'' and '' The Masked Rider''.
