Solo One
''Solo One'' is an Australian television series made by Crawford Productions for the Seven Network and screened in 1976. There were 13 half-hour episodes. Synopsis The series was a spin-off from Crawford's other police show ''Matlock Police'' and featured Paul Cronin reprising his role as Senior Constable Gary Hogan, but tailored for a younger audience. It was set in the real country town of Emerald in the Dandenong Ranges east of Melbourne and used the town's actual police station. In the series Hogan sorts out problems for the locals. His call sign is Solo One, hence the series title. Crime Drama
Crime film is a film belonging to the crime fiction genre. Films of this genre generally involve various aspects of crime and fiction. Stylistically, the genre may overlap and combine with many other genres, such as Drama (film and television), drama or gangster film, but also include Comedy film, comedy, and, in turn, is divided into many sub-genres, such as Mystery film, mystery, suspense or Film noir, noir. Screenwriter and scholar Eric R. Williams identified crime film as one of eleven super-genres in his Screenwriters Taxonomy, claiming that all feature-length narrative films can be classified by these super-genres.  The other ten super-genres are action, fantasy, horror, romance, science fiction, slice of life, sports, thriller, war and western. Gus Mercurio
Augustino Eugenio “Gus” Mercurio (10 August 19287 December 2010) was an American-Australian chiropractor, actor, boxing referee, boxing judge, and sports commentator. He was equally prominent as a character actor on film and television, and as a personality in the sports world. He was a long-time commentator on the Seven Network's ''World of Sport'' from 1976 to 1987. The ''Sydney Morning Herald'' described him as “one of the most recognised and loved faces in Australian television,” while boxing writer Paul Upham called him "one of the great characters of Australian boxing."
