''Sogni mostruosamente proibiti'' () is a 1982 Italian comedy film directed by Neri Parenti. The film is loosely inspired by ''The Secret Life of Walter Mitty''. Plot Paolo Coniglio is a naive and bumbling writer in a publishing house of comics, bullied by the director and by his future mother-in-law. To escape the dreary daily routine, he finds himself the protagonist of very vivid daydreams in the company of Dalia, the beautiful heroine of the comic books who is responsible of translating. His visions play with popular heroes of the literature and comics, like Parsifal, Superman and Tarzan. Every time his awakening is increasingly more abrupt, when one day, doing the grocery shopping, he meets a charming blonde girl identical to Dalia that, against his will, involves him in a shady intrigue. Michael Nicholas Salvatore Bongiorno (; May 26, 1924 – September 8, 2009) was an American Italian television presenter. After a few experiences in the U.S., he started working on RAI in the 1950s and was considered to be the most popular host in Italy. Chris Avram (born Cristea Avram; 31 August 1931 – 10 January 1989) was a Romanian-Italian film actor. Early life and career Avram was born in Bucharest, into a family of active communists (his father being a member of the Romanian Communist Party while it was still banned, and his brother, Puiu, a Communist activist). In his youth, he attended a military school, after which he studied law for two years at the University of Bucharest, before being admitted to the Academy of Theatrical Arts and Cinematography. After graduation, he worked for a while as a theater actor in Timișoara, before joining the in Bucharest. At a film festival in Moscow, he befriended Marina Vlady, who later went to Romania to star in , directed by Henri Colpi. With her help, he managed to flee to Paris in 1966, where he remained.
