The International Committee of the Fourth International (ICFI) is a public faction of the Fourth International founded in 1953. Socialist Equality Party (Australia)
The Socialist Equality Party (SEP) is an unregistered Trotskyist political party in Australia. The SEP was established in 2010 as the successor party to the Socialist Labour League, which was founded in 1972 as the Australian section of the International Committee of the Fourth International (ICFI). According to its 2019 election statement, the party opposes identity politics and the Me Too movement, stating that identity politics “is aimed at splitting the working class and obscuring the fact that in capitalist society the fundamental divide is that of class—between the working class and its exploiters, i.e., those who own the means of production and finance.” Similarly they stated that the Me Too movement is: “used by the upper-middle class to enhance their privileged economic and social position.” The party also criticises contemporary trade unions, having adopted the position that "They are no longer workers’ organisations." Socialist Equality Party (France)
The Socialist Equality Party (France) (''Parti de l'égalité socialiste'', PES) is the French section of the Trotskyite International Committee of the Fourth International. In November 2016 a long-standing sympathizing group of the International Committee of the Fourth International held a founding congress to establish themselves as a full section of the ICFI. As part of the congress international delegates of the ICFI ratified their membership as the Socialist Equality Party (France), or Parti de l'égalité socialiste (PES) in French. PES includes a number of members of Sri Lankan origin who sought asylum in France due to the effects of the Sri Lankan Civil War, some of whom were members of the Socialist Equality Party (Sri Lanka) or its predecessor organization, the Revolutionary Communist League, at the time of their flight while many were won to Trotskyism during their exile. Socialist Equality Party (Germany)
The Socialist Equality Party (, SGP) is a minor Trotskyist political party in Germany. History It was founded in 1971 as the Federation of Socialist Workers () by West German supporters of Gerry Healy's Socialist Labour League and was renamed the Party for Social Equality, Section of the Fourth International (, PSG) in 1997. On 18–19 February 2017, the party adopted its present name. Also in 2017 the SGP won a defamation lawsuit filed against them by Humboldt University professor Jörg Baberowski : the Hamburg district court ruled that the party's right to freedom of speech allowed them to accuse Baberowski of a "distortion of history". The court also ruled that the SGP was able to defend their characterization of Baberowski as a "right-wing extremist" by referencing his statements about Adolf Hitler with a specific example being him saying, "Hitler was not cruel. Socialist Equality Party (Sri Lanka)
The Socialist Equality Party is a Trotskyist political party in Sri Lanka. It was founded in 1968 as the Revolutionary Communist League by former student members of the Lanka Sama Samaja Party (Revolutionary) who joined the International Committee of the Fourth International. They remained loyal to Gerry Healy until the majority of the International split from his organisation. Since the death of its founder and leader Keerthi Balasooriya in December 1987, Wije Dias assumed the leadership. In 1996, it changed its name to the Socialist Equality Party, in line with other members of the surviving ICFI. In the 2005 Sri Lankan presidential election, the party's candidate, Wije Dias, came 11th of 13 candidates, with 3,500 votes (0.04%). The Socialist Equality Party (SEP) is an American Trotskyist political party. SEP first formed in 1964 as the American Committee for the Fourth International, created by expelled members of the Socialist Workers Party. SEP and its previous forms were associated with the International Committee of the Fourth International (ICFI), a Trotskyist political international.
