''Snow White: A Tale of Terror'' is a 1997 American gothic fantasy horror film based on the fairy tale of the same name. "Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs" is a 19th-century German fairy tale that is today known widely across the Western world. The Brothers Grimm published it in 1812 in the first edition of their collection ''Grimms' Fairy Tales'' and numbered as Tale 53. The original German title was ''Sneewittchen'', a Low German form, but the first version gave the High German translation ''Schneeweißchen'', and the tale has become known in German by the mixed form ''Schneewittchen''. The Grimms completed their final revision of the story in 1854, which can be found in the in 1957 version of ''Grimms' Fairy Tales''. Bryan Pringle (19 January 1935 – 15 May 2002) was an English character actor who appeared for several decades in television, film and theatre productions. Life and career Born in Glascote, Tamworth, Staffordshire, he was brought up in the Lancashire town of Bolton.
