Smash (Swedish TV Series)
''Smash'' is a 1990 Swedish comedy TV mini-series with eight episodes written and directed by Måns Herngren and Hannes Holm. Herngren also stars in the series, along with Svante Grundberg, Peter Wahlbeck, Felix Herngren and Sten Ljunggren. It was released on 4 January 1990. Plot In the 1970s, the search for young tennis talents reached its peak when the superstar Einar Berg threw in the towel. Fifteen years after his retirement, Berg makes a comeback because of financial problems and he teams up with teens Alex, Sigge and Teo, where they travel around the world and play tennis. Måns Herngren (born 20 April 1965) is a Swedish actor and noted director. Almost all of his films are done together with his friend Hannes Holm. He is the older brother to actor and comedian Felix Herngren. Herngren and Holm's ''Adam & Eva'' was the highest-grossing film in Sweden in 1997, grossing $5.4 million. Afterwards, he and Hannes formed their own production company AS Fladen. ''Det blir aldrig som man tänkt sig'' was their third hit and also topped the Swedish box office. Björn Gösta Tryggve Granath (5 April 1946 – 5 February 2017) was a Swedish actor who appeared in over 100 films and television shows. Life and career Granath was born in Örgryte, Gothenburg, Sweden. He starred in a broad range of roles from comedic to dramatic. He was active as an actor and director at the Royal Dramatic Theatre in Stockholm from 1987 to 2007. At the time of his death he had been due to play Buckingham in a production of Richard III at the Royal Dramatic Theatre in a revival of a popular production he had appeared in during 2014. Granath was married to Ann-Margreth Fyrgård, and the couple had two children. He died on 5 February 2017, at the age of 70.
