The Slovak diaspora refers to both historical and present emigration from Slovakia, as well as from the former Czechoslovakia. Emigration
Emigration is the act of leaving a resident country or place of residence with the intent to settle elsewhere (to permanently leave a country). Conversely, immigration describes the movement of people into one country from another (to permanently move to a country). Nădlac
Nădlac (; ; ) is a town in Arad County, western Romania. A former part of the town lies across the border with Hungary; this village is called Nagylak. An international border town, Nădlac is the main border crossing into western Romania from Hungary. It is also a centre of the Lutheran Slovak community in Romania. Situated in the western part of Arad County, from the county capital, at the western border of Romania, Nădlac is the main entrance gate from Western Europe. Etymology The settlement was first mentioned in historical documents in 1313, under the name ''Noglog''.
