Skyscraper World Tour
The Skyscraper World Tour is the second concert tour and first world tour held by Chinese singer-songwriter Joker Xue. Xue performed 23 shows across four continents with 15 shows in Asia, 1 show in Europe, 4 shows in North America, and 3 shows in Oceania. All venues in Mainland China were upgraded from arena to stadium. The tour began on July 14, 2018, at Workers' Stadium in Beijing and concluded on May 19, 2019, at AsiaWorld–Arena in Hong Kong. Total attendance is approximately 400,000. Background In 2017, Xue promised his fans that if they weren't able to meet at the I Think I've Seen You Somewhere Tour, he would meet them again on a bigger stage. In 2018, he fulfilled that promise with Skyscraper World Tour. Xue named his tour "Skyscraper" because, much like his own slow climb to fame, there is a metaphoric skyscraper in everyone's hearts that they wish to scale. The Crossing (Joker Xue Album)
''The Crossing'' () is the eighth album by Chinese singer-songwriter Joker Xue. It was released on November 28, 2017, by Huayu World Expo and later acquired by Xue's own label Chaoshi Music. Background The concept behind ''The Crossing'' is a reflection of life and living as one crosses from childhood to adulthood, from one role to the next, and from yesterday to today. This album marks a shift in Xue's music from emotional ballads about heartbreak to examinations and critique of the darker side of human nature. Composition Of the ten tracks on the album, Xue composed music for five tracks and wrote lyrics for nine tracks. The only song he did not participate in creating was "Camel" which was written by Gan Shijia and composed by Guo Ding, both had collaborated with Xue on his previous albums. The Shuangliu Sports Center () is a sports venue in Shuangliu District, Chengdu, Sichuan, China. Its construction cost 600 million yuan. Shenzhen Bay Sports Center (), nicknamed Spring Cocoon ( zh, 春茧) for its shape, is a multiuse stadium in Shenzhen, China. It is used mostly for table tennis, swimming and soccer competitions.
