Sister (2012 Film)
''Sister'' () is a 2012 drama film directed by Ursula Meier. The film competed in competition at the 62nd Berlin International Film Festival, where it won the Special Award, the Silver Bear. The film was selected as the Swiss entry for the Academy Award for Best Foreign Language Film, Best Foreign Language Oscar at the 85th Academy Awards, making the January shortlist. Plot Twelve-year-old Simon (Kacey Mottet Klein) lives with his older sister, Louise (Léa Seydoux), in a housing complex below a luxury Swiss ski resort. Ursula Meier
Ursula Meier (born 24 June 1971) is a French-Swiss film director and screenwriter. Career A native of Besançon, the capital of the Franche-Comté region in eastern France, near the Swiss border, Ursula Meier graduated from Belgium's Institut des Arts de Diffusion [Institute of Visual Arts] and served as assistant director to the Swiss auteur, Alain Tanner, on his films ''Fourbi'' (''Gear)'' (1996) and ''Jonas et Lila, à demain'' (''Jonas and Lila, 'Till Tomorrow'') (1999). Cabourg Film Festival
The Cabourg Film Festival takes place on the seaside of Normandy every year in June. With romance as its theme, the festival presents a selection of films dedicated to passion, love, and fantasies. The festival was founded by Gonzague Saint Bris in 1983, and its director is Suzel Pietri. Today, the festival reaches several towns on the Côte Fleurie between Cabourg, Houlgate and Dives-sur-Mer. At nightfall, the festival also offers several open air screenings on the beach of Cabourg.
