Rosalba Pippa (born 20 August 1982), better known by her stage name Arisa, is an Italian singer, actress, and television personality. Early life Arisa was born in Genoa. A week after her birth, her family moved back to their original hometown, Pignola, a village a few kilometres from Potenza. (in Italian) Her stage name is an acronym of her family members' names: A from her father, Antonio; R from her own name, Rosalba; I and S from her sisters, Isabella and Sabrina; and A from her mother, Assunta. In 1999, she won first prize in the Cantacavallo competition in Teggiano for her singing ability. The president of the jury, journalist and writer Bianca Fasano, personally delivered the cup. Sanremo Music Festival 2009
The Sanremo Music Festival 2009 (), officially the 59th Italian Song Festival (), was the 59th annual Sanremo Music Festival, held at the Teatro Ariston in Sanremo between 17 and 21 February 2009, and broadcast by (RAI). It was hosted by Paolo Bonolis and Luca Laurenti. Bonolis, supported by Gianmarzo Mazzi, was also the artistic director of the contest. The competition was divided into two different sections. The Big Artists section included sixteen well-known singers, performing a previously unheard song, and it was won by Marco Carta's "La forza mia". The Newcomers section, featuring ten debuting or little known artists, was won by Arisa, performing the song "Sincerità". For the first time, a third section was added. Called ''Sanremofestival.59'', it was completely held through the web, and it was won by Ania with the song "Buongiorno gente". Giuseppe Anastasi
Giuseppe Anastasi (born 23 August 1976) is an Italian composer and musician from Palermo, Sicily. Life and career Anastasi was born to a father from Marsala and a mother from Palermo. At the age of 21, he was admitted to a music school in Rome, ''Cet di Mogol''. In 2001 he collaborated with Francesco Baccini, whom he wrote the song "Son resuscitato" and five years later, in 2006, he participated in the music festival Musicultura, where he reached to the final of the event with the song "Lo specchio". When he was working in the CET, as an assistant, he met with Arisa. He composed "Sincerità" for her, along with composers Maurizio Filardo and Giuseppe Mangiaracina, which won the "Newcomers' section" and the "Critic's prize" of Sanremo Music Festival 2009. The Federazione Industria Musicale Italiana (FIMI) or the Federation of the Italian Music Industry is an umbrella organization that keeps track of virtually all aspects of the music recording industry in Italy. It was established in 1992, when major corporate labels left the previously existing Associazione dei Fonografici Italiani (AFI).
