''Simple Things'' is the fifteenth studio album by CCM singer-songwriter Amy Grant, released in 2003. ''Simple Things'' did not have the effect of Grant's previous pop efforts from the 1990s. The album topped ''Billboard''s Christian album chart and the title track became a Top Ten Christian single, ''Simple Things'' peaked just outside the Top 20 on the ''Billboard'' 200, at No. 23. The title track peaked at the same position on the AC chart. Amy Grant
Amy Lee Grant (born November 25, 1960) is an American singer-songwriter and musician. She began her music career in contemporary Christian music (CCM) before crossing over to pop music in the mid-1980s. Grant has been referred to as "Honorific nicknames in popular music, The Queen of Christian Pop". Grant was formerly married to fellow Christian musician Gary Chapman (musician), Gary Chapman; after their divorce in 1999, she married country music singer Vince Gill in 2000. Keith Thomas (record Producer)
Brian Keith Thomas is an American record producer and songwriter from Franklin, Tennessee. He founded the record label and artist management company Levosia Entertainment in 2003. He has received two Grammy Awards from six nominations. Career Born and raised in the Atlanta suburb of Conyers, Georgia, Thomas was singing lead for his father's gospel group by the age of 9. Leland Bruce Sklar (born May 28, 1947) is an American bassist and session musician. He rose to prominence as a member of James Taylor's backing band, which coalesced into a group in its own right, The Section, which supported so many of Asylum Records' artists that they became known as Asylum's ''de facto'' house band, as those artists became iconic singer-songwriters of the 1970s. The classical guitar, also known as Spanish guitar, is a member of the guitar family used in classical music and other styles. Tim Pierce (born 1958 in Albuquerque) is an American session guitarist. He has worked for artists such as Joe Cocker, Crowded House, Goo Goo Dolls, Michael Jackson, Beth Hart, Roger Waters, Alice Cooper, Johnny Hallyday, Phil Collins, and the Cheetah Girls. Pierce's parents were not musicians, although, unbeknownst to Pierce, his father used to play the trumpet in his youth. He first tasted mainstream success in the early 1980s, when he began recording with Rick Springfield, who was enjoying success with his hit " Jessie's Girl". Gordon Scott Kennedy is an American songwriter, musician, and record producer based in Nashville, Tennessee whose most successful composition is the international hit song " Change the World", recorded by Eric Clapton, for which Kennedy and his co-writers received a Grammy Award for Song of the Year (1996). Mandolin
A mandolin (, ; literally "small mandola") is a Chordophone, stringed musical instrument in the lute family and is generally Plucked string instrument, plucked with a plectrum, pick. Vince Gill
Vincent Grant Gill (born April 12, 1957) is an American singer, songwriter, and musician. He played in a number of local bluegrass music, bluegrass bands in the 1970s, and from 1978 to 1982, he achieved his first mainstream attention after taking over as lead singer of the soft rock band Pure Prairie League.
