Sid Williams
Sidney Williams (born March 3, 1942) is an American former diplomat and American football linebacker in the National Football League (NFL) for the Cleveland Browns, Washington Redskins, History of the Indianapolis Colts, Baltimore Colts, and the Pittsburgh Steelers. He played college football at Southern University. Early life Williams was born on March 3, 1942 in Shreveport, Louisiana, and grew up in Houston, Houston, Texas. He attended and played high school football at Wheatley High School (Houston), Wheatley High School, graduating in 1959. Sidney Williams (born 1962) is an American author of six novels under his own name and three young adult novels under the pseudonym Michael August. He has also authored numerous short stories and comic book scripts. Williams received a Master of Fine Arts from Goddard College. Biography Williams grew up and worked as a newspaper reporter in Louisiana where much of his fiction is set. One of his most popular books, ''Night Brothers'', brought a vampire to the Louisiana landscape. Sid Williams (footballer)
Sidney Frederick Williams (21 December 1919 – 9 June 2003) was an English footballer who played as an outside left. He made 100 Football League appearances in the years after the Second World War. Career Williams played locally for Eastville United in Bristol. Bob Hewison signed Williams as an amateur in July 1937 from Eastville United for Bristol City. During the Second World War Williams represented Northern Command and guested for Darlington. He turned professional with Bristol City in July 1945. Williams made his debut in Third Division South replacing Jack Hargreaves on the left wing in a 4–0 win v Bristol Rovers on 1 February 1947. He made 13 appearances and scored 3 goals, all in the space of 4 matches in April 1947, as Bristol City finished 3rd in 1946–47. Williams began the following season 1947–48 at outside left but was replaced in October 1947 when 36-year-old Harry Osman was signed from Millwall. Sid Williams (rugby League)
Sid Williams is a former Australian rugby league footballer who played in the 1960s and 1970s. In September 1967, Sid played halfback in the Bob Fulton Captain/Coached City side that lost to Country 16 - 12. This was the second City v Country fixture for the season, and was played to determine final selections for the 1967 Kangaroo tour. He is best remembered as the only try scorer in Balmain's 1969 winning Grand Final team. Playing career Williams played five seasons with Balmain between 1966-1970. He is remembered as the replacement for George Reubner in the 1969 Grand Final, and scored the try that won the match for the Balmain club over South Sydney 11-2. Williams shifted to Eastern Suburbs for one season in 1971 before retiring. Sid Williams Richardson (April 25, 1891 – September 30, 1959) was an American businessman and philanthropist known for his association with the city of Fort Worth. Life and career A native of Athens in east Texas, Richardson attended Baylor University and Simmons College from 1910 to 1912. With borrowed money, he and a business partner, Clint Murchison Sr., amassed $1 million in the oil business in 1919–1920, but then watched their fortunes wane with the oil market, until business again boomed in 1933.
