Shine (Estelle Album)
''Shine'' is the second studio album by British singer Estelle. It was released on 31 March 2008 supported by the lead single " Wait a Minute (Just a Touch)", released in November 2007. The second single, "American Boy" featuring Kanye West, reached number 1 on the UK Singles Chart and the top 10 in several other countries. It also garnered two Grammy Award nominations for Best Rap Sung Collaboration and Song of the Year. Along with Kanye West on "American Boy", the album features will.i.am, Kardinal Offishall, Mark Ronson, John Legend and Cee-Lo. A bonus track by Hi-Tek includes "Life to Me" featuring Estelle as a guest artist. A version of the album with additional bonus tracks and videos was made available through iTunes. The two bonus tracks are "Life to Me" (also on the UK CD single for "American Boy") and "I Wanna Live", plus the videos for "American Boy" and "Wait a Minute (Just a Touch)". Estelle Fanta Swaray (born 18 January 1980), also known mononymously as Estelle, is a British singer, rapper and actress. She is known for her eclectic blending of musical genres including Contemporary R&B, R&B, Soul music, soul, reggae, Grime music, grime, Hip hop music, hip hop and Dance music, dance. She has collaborated with prominent American artists including Chris Brown, Kanye West, will.i.am, Nas, Akon, Tyler, the Creator, Robin Thicke and Rick Ross, among others. "Pretty Please (Love Me)" is the fourth UK-single from British hip-hop artist Estelle's second album '' Shine''. The single features a song-writing credit, production values additional vocals by Cee-Lo Green of Gnarls Barkley. The single was released in the UK on 15 September 2008 and was added to the BBC Radio 1 playlist C-list on 13 August 2008. The song appeared on the second volume of the '' Sex and the City: The Movie'' soundtrack as well as in the 2009 film ''Bride Wars''. Estelle performed the song on ''Al Murray's Happy Hour'' on 19 September 2008.
