Shelley Taub
Shelley Goodman Taub (born July 14, 1939) is a Republican politician from Oakland County, Michigan. She resides in Bloomfield Hills, Michigan. Biography Taub was born in Detroit in 1939. She received a B.A. in Education from the University of Michigan. She also did post-graduate work at the University of Missouri and University of Kansas. She is religiously Jewish. She taught elementary school for 30 years and managed her husband's medical practice. She now has three children and five grandchildren. Political career County Commissioner Taub served on the Oakland County Commission from 1983 until 2002 and again from 2009 until 2019. She represented two-thirds of West Bloomfield Township, one-third of Bloomfield Township, and the cities of Keego Harbor, Orchard Lake Village and Sylvan Lake. Bloomfield Township, officially the Charter Township of Bloomfield, is a charter township of Oakland County in the U.S. state of Michigan. As of the 2010 census, the township population was 41,070. As a northern suburb of Metro Detroit, Bloomfield Township is located north of the city of Detroit. Established in 1827, it is the oldest township of Oakland County. Andy Levin
Andrew Saul Levin (born August 10, 1960) is an American attorney and politician serving as the U.S. representative for since 2019. A member of the Democratic Party, Levin was elected to the House in 2018, succeeding his retiring father, Sander Levin. He is the nephew of Carl Levin, a former U.S. senator. Early life and education Levin was born on August 10, 1960, to Jewish parents Sander Levin and Vicki Schlafer. Sander was elected to the United States House of Representatives in 1982. Andy grew up with two sisters, Jennifer and Madeleine, and a brother, Matthew. Levin graduated from Williams College with a bachelor's degree. Robert (Bob) Gosselin (born 1951-2023) was a conservative Republican politician in Oakland County, Michigan and is an Oakland County Commissioner. Biography Gosselin was born in Berkley, Michigan and attended Berkley High School. He attended, but did not graduate from Lawrence Technological University, where he studied engineering. He is also a licensed builder, licensed realtor and licensed heating contractor. He is married to Jan Gosselin and has three children. Political career Gosselin was elected to the Troy City Council in 1993. He served until 1997. Michigan Senate
The Michigan Senate is the upper house of the Michigan Legislature. Along with the Michigan House of Representatives, it composes the state legislature, which has powers, roles and duties defined by Article IV of the Michigan Constitution, adopted in 1963. The primary purpose of the Legislature is to enact new laws and amend or repeal existing laws. Franklin, Michigan
Franklin is a village in Southfield Township, Oakland County in the U.S. state of Michigan. The population was 3,150 at the 2010 census. The community is known for large, estate-style homes. The downtown was designated as an historic district, the first in Michigan, and listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1969. The Franklin Cider Mill is a visitor attraction. Bingham Farms, Michigan
Bingham Farms is a village in Oakland County in the U.S. state of Michigan. As of the 2020 census, the population was 1,124. The village is located within Southfield Township. History Originally settled in 1823 by John Daniels of Rutland, Vermont, the tiny settlement in what was soon to become Southfield Township in 1830 would stay isolated and small until Telegraph Road was brought through the area in 1928. In the early 1950s, citizens in the southern part of the township sought to have the entire township incorporated as a city. Seeking to retain their individual characters and guard against annexation, the settlements in the northern end raced to incorporate as villages. Bingham Farms was incorporated on October 4, 1955, named after a prominent family present in the village since 1880.
