Sheikh Mahmoud Khalil Al-Qari
Sheikh Mahmoud Khalil Abd al-Rahman al-Qari was the Imam of the mosque of the two Qiblas in Medina and the formerly appointed Imam of the Prophet’s Mosque. He is the son of Khalil Al-Qari. Mahmoud Khalil Al-Qari was born and raised in Medina in a Saudi-Pakistani family. He memorized the Qur’an from his father Khalil Al-Qari, when he was ten years old. He also obtained a bachelor’s degree in the College of the Holy Qur’an and Islamic Studies. The approval was issued to assign him as Imam in the Prophet’s Mosque in Tarawih prayers during the month of Ramadan in the year 1438 and 1439 AH (2017 and 2018). He continued to lead the worshipers at the Al-Qiblatain Mosque until his death. Him and his father are regarded as two of the key pioneers of the modern day Qirat mostly heard in Saudi Arabia. Mosque Of The Two Qiblas
The Masjid al-Qiblatayn (, , ), also spelt Masjid al-Qiblatain, is a Sunni Islam mosque in Medina, Saudi Arabia. The mosque is believed by Muslims to be the place where the final Islamic prophet, Muhammad, received the command to change the ''Qibla'' (direction of prayer) from Jerusalem to Mecca. The mosque was built by Sawad ibn Ghanam ibn Ka'ab during the year 2 AH (623 CE) and is one of the few mosques in the world to have contained two ''mihrabs'' ( niches indicating the ''qibla'') in different directions. In 1987, during the reign of King Fahd, the mosque was completely torn down and rebuilt. In the course of the reconstruction, the old prayer niche facing Jerusalem was removed, while the one facing Mecca was kept. Dhu Al-Qadah
Dhu al-Qa'dah (, ', ), also spelled Dhu al-Qi'dah or Zu al-Qa'dah, is the eleventh month in the Islamic calendar. It could possibly mean "possessor or owner of the sitting and seating place" - the space occupied while sitting or the manner of the sitting, pose or posture. It is one of the four sacred months in Islam during which warfare is prohibited, hence the name "Master of Truces". Maghrib Prayer
Maghrib () is one of the five mandatory salah (Islamic prayers), and contains three cycles (''rak'a''). If counted from midnight, it is the fourth one. According to Shia and Sunni Muslims, the period for Maghrib prayer starts just after sunset, following Asr prayer, and ends at the beginning of night, the start of the Isha prayer. As for Shia Muslims, since they allow Maghrib and Isha prayers to be performed one after another, the period for Maghrib prayer extends until midnight. Except for the Hanafi school, however, Sunni Muslims are also permitted to combine Maghrib and Isha prayers if they are traveling and incapable of performing the prayers separately.
