Shaun McDonald (rugby Union)
Shaun McDonald (born 9 February 1989 in Goodwood, South Africa) is a South African rugby union player who last played for the in the Currie Cup and in the Rugby Challenge. His regular position is lock or flanker. Career Youth, Varsity Cup and amateur rugby While playing rugby for Tygerberg High School, McDonald was selected in 's Under-18 Craven Week squad for the 2006 edition in Johannesburg and earned a selection for the same side for the 2007 competition in Stellenbosch. In 2009, he joined the Johannesburg-based team. He made six appearances for them during the 2010 Under-21 Provincial Championship, playing six matches. However, he failed to break into the senior side and he returned to Cape Town. He played club rugby for the second team, Victorians He was named in the Maties squad for the 2012 Varsity Cup, but didn't make any appearances for them. Goodwood, Cape Town
Goodwood is a suburb of Cape Town in the Western Cape, South Africa and is situated in the Tygerberg region of the City of Cape Town. It is 10 kilometres from Cape Town and accessible from the N1, N7 and N2 highways. The town was established in 1905 and named after Goodwood Racecourse in England as the founders intended to make it a racing centre. A course was actually constructed, but after only one meeting it was abandoned. The first railway station was built in 1905, and today there are five within the municipal area. 2013 Varsity Cup
The 2013 Varsity Cup was contested from 4 February to 8 April 2013. The tournament (also known as the ''FNB Varsity Cup presented by Steinhoff International'' for sponsorship reasons) was the sixth season of the Varsity Cup, an annual inter-university rugby union competition featuring eight South African universities. The tournament was won by for the second consecutive season; they beat 44–5 in the final played on 8 April 2013. No team was relegated to the second-tier Varsity Shield competition for 2014. South African Rugby Union Players

Kimberley, Northern Cape
Kimberley is the Capital city, capital and largest city of the Northern Cape province of South Africa. It is located approximately 110 km east of the confluence of the Vaal River, Vaal and Orange Rivers. The 2016 Currie Cup qualification series was a South African rugby union competition organised by the South African Rugby Union which was played between 9 April and 23 July 2016. It featured all fourteen South African provincial unions plus the from Namibia and served as a qualifying competition for the 2016 Currie Cup, the 78th edition of South Africa's premier domestic rugby union competition. Wellington, Western Cape
Wellington is a town in the Western Cape Winelands, a 45-minute drive from Cape Town, in South Africa with a population of approximately 62,000. The 2014 Currie Cup Premier Division was the 76th season in the competition since it started in 1889 and was contested from 9 August to 25 October 2014. The tournament (known as the Absa Currie Cup Premier Division for sponsorship reasons) is the top tier of South Africa's premier domestic rugby union competition.
