Shastri (2024 Film)
''Shastri'' is a 2024 Indian Bengali-language science fiction action thriller film directed by Pathikrit Basu. Produced by Soham Chakraborty, Nispal Singh and Bajrang Lal Churiwala under the banners of Surinder Films, Soham's Entertainment and Creative Solutions Pvt Ltd respectively, the film is based on Debarati Mukhopadhyay's short story ''Dolgobindo Babur Chashmah''. It stars Mithun Chakraborty in the titular role, alongside an ensemble cast consisting of Soham Chakraborty, Debashree Roy, Rajatava Dutta, Anirban Chakraborty, Saswata Chatterjee, Kaushik Sen, Sauraseni Maitra and Ayush Das in pivotal roles. The film was officially announced in October 2023 with an announcement teaser. Principal photography commenced in February 2024, with filming taking place in Kolkata. ''Bohurupi'' () is a 2024 Indian Bengali-language vigilante heist action thriller film written by Nandita Roy and directed by Nandita Roy & Shiboprosad Mukherjee. The film stars Shiboprosad Mukherjee, Abir Chatterjee, Ritabhari Chakraborty and Koushani Mukherjee in the lead roles. Deepak Adhikari (born 25 December 1982), known by his stage name Dev, is an Indian actor, producer, singer and film writer, known for his works in Tollywood, and more recently, a politician. Srijato Bandopadhyay is an Indian poet of the Bengali language. He won the Ananda Puroskar in 2004 for his book ''Udanta Sawb Joker: All Those Flying Jokers''. In 2014, he won the Filmfare Awards East for Best Lyricist for the song 'Balir Shohor' from '' 'Mishawr Rawhoshyo'''.
