	BNS Shapla BNS ''Shapla'' is a River class minesweeper of the Bangladeshi Navy. Formerly the Royal Navy fleet minesweeper HMS ''Waveney'' (M2003). She is serving Bangladeshi Navy from 1995. 	Shapla Salique Farzana Salique (), better known as Shapla Salique, () is a Bangladeshi-born British singer-songwriter and harmonium player. Early life Salique was born in Bangladesh and grew up in Tajpur, Osmani Nagar, Sylhet District, where she would often go to watch her father, uncle and grandparents perform in functions. They were renowned folk singers in the Sylhet region. Her grandfather, Azfar Ali, was immensely into music and passed his interest onto the family. Her brother Uchchall plays the tabla. In February 1970, Salique's father, Abdus Salique (born 1952), came to the United Kingdom. In 1981, at the age of five, Salique came to the United Kingdom to join her father. 	2013 Operation At Motijheel Shapla Chattar The Shapla Square protests, also known as the Siege of Dhaka, Operation Shapla, and Operation Flash Out by security forces, was the protests and subsequent shootings of protesters on 5 and 6 May 2013 at Shapla Square, located in the Motijheel district, the main financial area of Dhaka, Bangladesh. The protests were organized by the Islamist advocacy group, Hefazat-e Islam, who were demanding the enactment of a blasphemy law. The government responded to the protests by cracking down on the protesters using a combined force drawn from the police, Rapid Action Battalion and paramilitary Border Guard Bangladesh to drive the protesters out of Shapla Square. Following the events at Motijheel, protests in other parts of the country also broke out, during which 27 people died, although different sources report casualty numbers ranging from 20 to 61.
