Shaolin Temple (1976 Film)
''Shaolin Temple'', a.k.a. ''Death Chamber'', is a Shaw Brothers film directed by Chang Cheh. It is one of the Shaolin Temple themed martial arts films and concerns their rebellion against the Qings, with an all-star cast featuring the second and third generations of Chang Cheh's stable of actors including David Chiang, Ti Lung, Alexander Fu Sheng and Chi Kuan Chun, as well as cameo appearances by several of the actors that would later become collectively known as the Venoms mob. The film serves as a pseudo-prequel to '' Five Shaolin Masters''. Plot The film opens with the chief Shaolin Monks realizing that time is not on their side and they must train more fighters to fight the Qings. Lo Mang is a Hong Kong martial artist and actor who was born in Hong Kong on 23 July 1952. Shih Szu (; born October 24, 1953) is an actress from Taoyuan, Taiwan, Taoyuan, Taiwan. She was born Lei Qui Si (雷秋思) to parents from Hunan Province. Chiang Sheng (; born Chiu Kang Sang 趙岡生; November 21, 1954 - 24 April 1990) was a Taiwanese martial arts actor, director, and action director. Chiang rose to prominence in the late 1970s as a member of the Venom Mob, a group of actors at Shaw Brothers Studio renowned for their acrobatic and martial arts skills. Early life Chiang Sheng was born on April 27, 1951, to a large family in Taiwan. He was sent to the Fu Sheng Drama School in Taipei where he met his future costars Lu Feng, Philip Kwok, and Robert Tai.
