Shanghai Songjiang railway station (, formerly Songjiang South railway station) is a railway station on the Shanghai–Hangzhou high-speed railway and Shanghai–Suzhou–Huzhou high-speed railway located in Songjiang, Shanghai, Songjiang District, Shanghai, China. Songjiang District
Songjiang is a suburban district (formerly a county) of Shanghai. It has a land area of and a population of 1,582,398 (2010). Owing to a long history, Songjiang is known as the cultural root of Shanghai. Songjiang Town, the urban center of the district, was formerly the major city in the area. It is now connected to downtown Shanghai by Line 9 of the Shanghai Metro. Shanghai–Hangzhou Railway
The Shanghai–Hangzhou railway, also known as the Huhang railway (), is a double-track railroad in eastern China between Shanghai and Hangzhou in Zhejiang Province. Line 23 is an under construction Shanghai Metro line that would run from in Xuhui District to in Minhang District. Its It is planned to be in length, and is planned to have 22 stations. Line 9 (Shanghai Metro)
Line 9 is a southwest-northeast line of the Shanghai Metro network. The line runs from in Songjiang District to in Pudong. The line is colored on system maps. History In the initial planning of Line 9, the entire line was from Fengjing to Chongming Island. Later, the plan to extend to Fengjing was cancelled, and the section to Chongming Island was changed to Chongming line. The first phase of Line 9, from to stations, opened on December 29, 2007. It uses the Bombardier Movia trains which were lended to line 1.
