Shane O'Neill (Irish Chieftain)
Shane O'Neill ( ga, Seán Mac Cuinn Ó Néill; c. 1530 – 2 June 1567), was an Irish chieftain of the O'Neill dynasty of Ulster in the mid-16th century. Shane O'Neill's career was marked by his ambition to be the O'Neill—sovereign of the dominant O'Neill family of Tír Eoghain. This brought him into conflict with competing branches of the O'Neill family and with the English government in Ireland, who recognised a rival claim. Shane's support was considered worth gaining by the English even during the lifetime of his father Conn O'Neill, 1st Earl of Tyrone (died 1559). Shane O'Neill (Cork Hurler)
Shane O'Neill (born 1 March 1986) is an Irish hurler who plays as a right corner-back for the Cork senior team. Born in Bishopstown, Cork, O'Neill first played competitive hurling whilst at school in Coláiste an Spioraid Naoimh. He arrived on the inter-county scene at the age of seventeen when he first linked up with the Cork minor team, before later joining the under-21 side. He joined the senior team as a member of the extended panel during the 2005 championship. Since then O'Neill has become a regular member of the starting fifteen and has won one Munster medal on the field of play. He has been an All-Ireland runner-up on one occasion. Shane O'Neill (born 1974) is an Irish hurling manager and former player who previously was the manager of the Galway senior hurling team. As a player he lined out with Limerick Senior Championship club Na Piarsaigh and the Limerick senior hurling team. Playing career Na Piarsaigh O'Neill joined the Na Piarsaigh club at a young age and played in all grades at juvenile and underage levels, enjoying much championship success in the minor and under-21 grades. On 25 November 1990, O'Neill was just 16-years-old when he was a member of the extended panel of the Na Piarsaigh junior team that qualified to play Dromcollogher/Broadford in the Limerick Junior Championship final. Shane O'Neill (born 1972) is an American tattoo artist in Middletown, Delaware. He is best known for winning the first season of the Spike TV show ''Ink Master'' and he is nationally recognized for being an expert in Black-and-gray portraits and realism tattoos. History O'Neill attended the University of the Arts in Philadelphia, where he earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts. He then worked as a freelance illustrator. Shane O'Neill, 3rd Earl of Tyrone (also known as Seán and, in Spain, Juan, c. 1599 – 29 January 1641) was the youngest son of Hugh O'Neill, Earl of Tyrone. Early life He left Ireland with his father and The 1st Earl of Tyrconnell during the Flight of the Earls in September 1607 and went to the European continent. Shane O'Neill (born 3 January 1990) is an Australian professional skateboarder from Melbourne, Victoria. Shane is a member of the SLS "9 Club" meaning he has landed a trick in the Street League competition that judges scored an average of 9 or better. Shane's trick was a switchstance Switch 360 double kickflip. In 2016 Shane won a silver medal at the X Games in Oslo. His normal stance is Goofy. Shane Edward Robert O'Neill, 3rd Baron O'Neill (6 February 1907 – 24 October 1944) was an Anglo-Irish peer and British Army officer. He served during World War II and was killed in action in Italy. Early life and family O'Neill was born on 6 February 1907 to The Hon, Arthur O'Neill and his wife Lady Annabel Hungerford Crewe-Milnes.
