Shane Harper (ice Hockey)
Shane Harper (born February 1, 1989) is a former American professional ice hockey player who last played with the Adirondack Thunder of the ECHL. He is the brother of model-actress Christen Harper who is married to Jared Goff of the Detroit Lions. Playing career Shane Harper grew up playing hockey in the greater Los Angeles area. As a youth, he played in the 2002 Quebec International Pee-Wee Hockey Tournament with the Anaheim Junior Ducks minor ice hockey team. Prior to turning professional, Harper played major junior hockey in the Western Hockey League with the Everett Silvertips where he was named to the Western Conference Second All-Star Team for his outstanding play during the 2009–10 WHL season. The Chicago Wolves are a professional ice hockey team based in Rosemont, Illinois. They are the American Hockey League (AHL) affiliate of the Carolina Hurricanes of the National Hockey League (NHL). The Everett Silvertips are an American major junior ice hockey team based in Everett, Washington. The team plays in the U.S. Division of the Western Conference of the Western Hockey League (WHL), and hosts games at Angel of the Winds Arena. The Utica Comets are a professional ice hockey team based in Utica, New York. They are members of the North Division in the Eastern Conference of the American Hockey League (AHL) and affiliated with the National Hockey League's (NHL) New Jersey Devils. 2017–18 KHL Season
The 2017–18 KHL season was the tenth season of the Kontinental Hockey League. The season started on 21 August 2017 and ended on 22 April 2018. The league accommodated a 33 day Olympic break, to allow its players to participate in the 2018 Winter Olympics in February. The Kontinental Hockey League (KHL; ) is an international professional ice hockey league founded in 2008. Mark Thomas Streit (born 11 December 1977) is a Swiss former professional ice hockey defenceman. He was formerly the Captain (ice hockey), captain of both the New York Islanders and the Switzerland men's national ice hockey team, Swiss national team. Streit was one of the few Swingman#Ice hockey, swingmen in the NHL who could play both as a defenceman and as a forward (ice hockey), forward. He was inducted into the IIHF Hall of Fame in 2020.
