Shambu
Shaamboo is a town and separate woreda in western Ethiopia. Located in the Horo Guduru Welega Zone of Oromia Region west of Lake Fincha'a, this town has an elevation of 2,503 metres above sea level. It was previously the administrative centre of Horro woreda. History A Swedish reporter published in 1969, an account of conditions in Shaamboo Prison, which consists of a fenced-in area the size of a football field, and associated buildings. A deep trench 3×5 metres in size is the common latrine for about 130 men and women. Most of the prisoners are chained, and are fed once a day. The eight female prisoners were locked in a single room 8×3 metres and never allowed outside. The men are only confined at night into two rooms 8×12 metres, 60 men in each, and sleep directly upon the wooden floor. ''Shambu'' is a 2008 Indian Malayalam film, directed by KB Madhu. The film stars Vijayakumar, Karthika Mathew, Geetha, Riyaz Khan, Rajan P Dev and Babu Antony in lead roles. The film had musical score by Jassie Gift. The film was made in 2004, but had a delayed release in 2008. Plot Journalist Meera starts working on a documentary related to the pros and cons of campus politics. Their main topic was a bus fire tragedy which happened 5 years ago, owing to which Sambhu and his collegemates were put to jail. Sambhu and his friends had attacked and damaged a bus on a strike day, which had ultimately set the bus on fire. In the tragic incident, Sambhu's sister was also put to death as she was one among the commutators in that bus. The sight of his sister being burnt to death makes Shambu mentally disturbed. Bhagwan Dada (1 August 1913 – 4 February 2002), also credited and mononymously known as Bhagwan, was an Indian actor and film director who worked in Hindi cinema. He is best known for his social film '' Albela'' (1951) and the song "Shola Jo Bhadke". Early life Bhagwan Dada was born in 1913 as Bhagwan Abhaji Palav in Amravati, Maharashtra. He was the son of a textile-mill worker who worked in Mumbai textile mills and was obsessed with films. Bhagwan dada hailed from a Marathi family. He worked as labour, but dreamt of films. He got his break with bit roles in silent films and got totally involved with the studios.
