The Shakey's V-League 12th Season Reinforced Open Conference was the 24th conference of the Shakey's V-League that started on October 10, 2015 at the Filoil Flying V Arena, San Juan. Tournament Format Preliminaries (PL) Teams will play a single round robin format. * The TOP 4 TEAMS will advance to the semi-finals (SF) round. * The bottom two (2) teams will be eliminated from the tournament. Semi-finals (SF) The top four teams at the end of the single-round eliminations will advance to semifinals, with the top two earning a twice-to-beat advantage. * Semi-finals series: Rank 1 vs Rank 4 and Rank 2 vs Rank 3 * Top two (2) SF teams will compete for GOLD. * Bottom two (2) SF teams will compete for BRONZE. Finals The battle for GOLD and the battle for BRONZE will both follow the best-of-three format, provided: * If the battle for GOLD ends in two (2) matches (2-0), then there will no longer be a Game 3 for either GOLD or Bronze. Philippine Army Lady Troopers
The Philippine Army Lady Troopers, also known as the Black Mamba–Army Lady Troopers for sponsorship reasons, is the official women's professional volleyball team of the Philippine Army. The team is composed of enlisted personnel and reinforced with civilian players from time to time. The Lady Troopers competes in the Premier Volleyball League (PVL) and has won two Shakey's V-League (predecessor of the PVL) championships. History The Lady Troopers were the first champion in the Philippine Superliga (PSL), winning all two conferences of the inaugural season. The team played in the PSL in partnership with various corporate sponsors. Abigail "Aby" Palmares Maraño (born December 22, 1992) is a Filipino professional volleyball player who plays for F2 Logistics Cargo Movers in the Premier Volleyball League. Early life and education Maraño was born on December 22, 1992, and is 175 cm tall. She took up Bachelor of Arts in Philippine Studies major in Filipino in Mass Media at De La Salle University. Nicole Anne Zapanta Tiamzon (born November 3, 1995) is a Filipino people, Filipina professional volleyball player. Personal life Tiamzon, a Taytay, Rizal-native volleybelle, started playing when she was 10, and started competing in her second year of high school in Siena College of Taytay. She tried out for the UPWVT, Lady Maroons volleyball team of the University of the Philippines and got accepted. She graduated with a degree in Sports Science. Diana Mae Magtoto "Tots" Carlos (born July 7, 1998) is a Filipino volleyball player who currently plays for the Creamline Cool Smashers. She was playing with UP Lady Fighting Maroons of the University of the Philippines-Diliman, and a member of both the indoor and beach volleyball collegiate varsity teams of the university. Maria Lina Isabel "Isa" Molde is a Filipino volleyball player playing for the Choco Mucho Flying Titans Volleyball Team in the Premiere Volleyball League (PVL). Roger Gorayeb
Roger Gorayeb is a Filipino volleyball coach and former college player. He is noted for being a multi-titled and longtime coach of the San Sebastian College – Recoletos de Manila women's team of the NCAA. Career Gorayeb has served as head coach of the San Sebastian College women's volleyball team. Under Gorayeb's watch, San Sebastian grabbed 11 consecutive championships for the women's team from 1986 to 1997, 22 women's volleyball titles, 6 titles in women's beach volleyball and 11 in junior's volleyball. Lizlee Ann "Tatan" Gata-Pantone (born 17 August 1988) is a retired Filipino volleyball player who last played for PLDT Home Fibr of the 2019 PSL Grand Prix Conference. She was a member of the collegiate varsity volleyball team of Adamson University in both indoor and beach volleyball. Maria Rosario "Charo" Soriano (born October 14, 1985) is a Filipino volleyball player, coach, and politician. Soriano is one of the founders of Beach Volleyball Republic, an outdoor volleyball tournament, and a board member of the Philippine National Volleyball Federation. Jamenea "Jem" Ferrer is a Filipina volleyball player. She was a 3-time UAAP best setter awardee while playing for the Ateneo university Lady Eagles volleyball team. Aiza Maizo-Pontillas (born February 29, 1988) is a Filipina professional volleyball player. She was a former member and team captain of the UST Golden Tigresses, and a member of the Philippines women's national volleyball team.
