Phil Goff
Philip Bruce Goff (born 22 June 1953) is a New Zealand politician. He was a member of the New Zealand Parliament from 1981 to 1990 and again from 1993 to 2016. He served as leader of the Labour Party and leader of the Opposition between 11 November 2008 and 13 December 2011. During the Fifth Labour Government, in office from 1999 to 2008, Goff was a senior minister in a number of portfolios, including Minister of Justice, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade, Minister of Defence, and Associate Minister of Finance. Goff was elected mayor of Auckland in 2016, and served two terms, before retiring in 2022. He will become New Zealand's high commissioner to the United Kingdom in January 2023. Charles Pierre Chauvel (born 16 April 1969) is a New Zealand lawyer and former New Zealand politician who was a Labour list Member of Parliament (2006–2013) until his resignation to take up a position with the UN Development Programme. Darien Elizabeth Fenton (born 25 February 1954) is a New Zealand politician and was a Member of Parliament from until her retirement in 2014. Personal life and early career Fenton's grandfather, Fred Frost, was a Labour MP for New Plymouth from 1938 to 1943. Fenton is of Māori descent. Fenton grew up in a Palmerston North state house. Aupito Tofae Su'a William Sio (born 1960) is a politician who became a member of the New Zealand House of Representatives on 1 April 2008 for the Labour Party as a list MP.
