Seán O'Leary-Hayes
Seán O'Leary-Hayes (born 16 July 1999) is an Irish hurler who plays for Cork Senior Championship club Midleton and at inter-county level with the Cork senior hurling team. He usually lines out as a full-back. Playing career Midleton CBS O'Leary-Hayes played in all grades of hurling with Midleton CBS Secondary School before progressing onto the college's senior team. On 15 December 2016, he was at full-back when Midelton CBS defeated St. Colman's College from Fermoy by 0-11 to 0-10 to win the Dr. O'Callaghan Cup. Midleton O'Leary-Hayes joined the Midleton club at a young age and played in all grades at juvenile and underage levels. On 25 June 2017, he made his first appearance at senior level when he lined out at right wing-back in a 2-25 to 4-15 defeat of Erin's Own. Midleton
Midleton (; , meaning "monastery at the weir") is a town in south-eastern County Cork, Ireland. It lies approximately 16 km east of Cork City on the Owenacurra River and the N25 road, which connects Cork to the port of Rosslare. 2019 Cork Senior Hurling Championship
The 2019 Cork Senior Hurling Championship was the 131st staging of the Cork Senior Hurling Championship since its establishment by the Cork County Board in 1887. The draw for the 2019 opening round fixtures took place on 15 January 2019. The championship began on 26 March 2019 and ended on 20 October 2019. The final was played at Páirc Uí Rinn in Cork, between defending champions Imokilly and Glen Rovers, in what was their first meeting in a final in 70 years. Original venue, Páirc Uí Chaoimh, was deemed unplayable due to an unsatisfactory playing surface. The draw for the 2018 opening fixtures took place on 10 December 2017. The championship began on 22 March 2018 and ended on 14 October 2018. Imokilly were the defending champions. On 14 October 2018, Imokilly won the championship after a 4–19 to 1–18 defeat of Midleton in the final at Páirc Uí Chaoimh. 2017 Cork Senior Hurling Championship
The 2017 Cork Senior Hurling Championship was the 129th staging of the Cork Senior Hurling Championship since its establishment by the Cork County Board in 1887. The draw for the 2017 fixtures took place on 11 December 2016. The championship ran from 6 May to 22 October 2017. Glen Rovers entered the championship as the defending champions, however, they were defeated by Na Piarsaigh in Round 4. Youghal's relegation ended five years of top tier hurling for the club. The final was played on 22 October 2017 at Páirc Uí Chaoimh in Cork, between Imokilly and Blackrock, in what was their third meeting in the final overall and a first meeting in 16 years. National Hurling League
The National Hurling League is an annual Inter county, inter-county hurling competition featuring teams from Ireland and England. Founded in 1925 by the Gaelic Athletic Association, it operates on a system of promotion and relegation within the league system. The league has 35 teams divided into five divisions, with seven teams in each division. Promotion and relegation between these divisions is a central feature of the league. The 2019 Munster Senior Hurling League, known for sponsorship reasons as the Co-Op Superstores Munster Hurling League, is the fourth Munster Senior Hurling League, an annual hurling league competition for county teams from the province of Munster. The 2019 All-Ireland Under-20 Hurling Championship was the inaugural staging of the All-Ireland Under-20 Championship and the 56th staging overall of a hurling championship for players between the minor and senior grades. Prior to 2019 an All-Ireland Under-21 Championship was held. The championship began on 25 May 2019 and ended on 24 August 2019. Tipperary were the defending champions and went on to retain the title.
