Serajul Huq (educator)
Serajul Huq (1 April 1905 – 4 March 2005) was a Bangladeshi educationist. Early life and education Huq was born in Noakhali District in 1905. He passed matriculation examination in 1921 from Dhaka Muhsinia Madrasa and Intermediate examination in 1923 from Dhaka Islamic Intermediate College. He then enrolled to University of Dhaka. He earned BA with Honors in Islamic Studies in 1926 and MA in Persian in 1927. In 1934 Huq earned his PhD degree from University of London. Career In 1928 Huq joined Dhaka University as a faculty as Assistant Lecturer in the Department of Arabic and Islamic Studies. He became Professor in 1951. In 1979 Huq was elected President of the Asiatic Society of Bangladesh. Sirajul Haque Khan
Sirajul Haque Khan, (1924 – 14 December 1971) born in the district of Noakhali, was a Bengali educationist and martyred intellectual of 1971. Education Khan received his bachelor's degree in 1943 from the University of Calcutta before receiving his Bachelor of Teaching and Master of Education degrees from the Institute of Education Research (IER) at Dhaka University. He received his Doctor of Education degree from University of Northern Colorado in 1967 and joined IER at Dhaka University as a senior lecturer. Death and legacy On 14 December 1971, a group of Al-Badr members forcibly removed him from his home and murdered him. His body was found in Mirpur, Dhaka. He was buried in Dhaka University Central Mosque. Sirajul Haq Memon (; 24 October 1933 – 2 February 2013) was a Pakistani Sindhi language novelist, journalist, historian, scholar, linguist, story-writer, and advocate of the Supreme Court of Pakistan. He was born in Tando Jam town, Hyderabad District to school-teacher and poet Mohammad Yaqub Niaz in a house that would eventually have ten siblings, including renowned Sindhi scholar Dr Fahmida Hussain. After completion of his early education, his family shifted from his native town to Hyderabad where he completed his matriculation examinations in 1950, after which he moved to Karachi. After his B.A. (Hons), he pursued the study of Law at Karachi's S.M. Siraj-ul-Haq (Pashto: سراج الحق; born 5 September 1962) is a Pakistani politician who was elected as the chief of Jamaat-e-Islami, a religious political party in Pakistan which seeks to establish an Islamic legal system. Sirajul Haq is politician of Bangladesh Nationalist Party, veteran of the Mukti Bahini, former member of parliament for the Jamalpur-5 constituency and former deputy minister of health. Early life Haq was born in Jamalpur District. Career Haq was elected member of parliament for the Jamalpur-5 constituency on the nomination of Bangladesh Nationalist Party in the 5th parliamentary election (1991) and 6th parliamentary election (February 1996).
