September 2006 Yemen Attacks
On 15 September 2006, four militants attempted suicide attacks on two different oil facilities in Yemen. Two militants each driving car bombs attempted to target an oil storage facility at the Canadian-Yemeni Dhabba Oil Terminal in Hadhramaut governorate, but their vehicles exploded prematurely after security opened fire on them, killing a guard. Another two militants tried car bombing the Safer oil refinery in Marib governorate shortly after, though they too were killed before their vehicles could reach the target. The attacks were claimed by al-Qaeda in Yemen (AQY). Background On 3 February 2006, 23 members of al-Qaeda escaped from a prison in Sanaa. Dhabba Oil Terminal
Dhabba Oil Terminal () is a key Yemeni oil port. It lies western of Ash-Shihr town in Yemen's eastern Hadramawt on the Arabian Sea. The Dhabba Oil Terminal is mainly used to export oil and gas from Hadramawt governorate. October 2022 attack On 21 October 2022 the terminal was targeted with drones for the first time by Yemen's rebel Houthi movement. The Yemeni government said it intercepted Houthi armed drones launched against al-Dhabba oil terminal when a Greek-owned oil tanker "Nissos" was preparing to dock to load 2 million barrels of crude from the terminal. There was no damage to the port and the tanker, but the Greek company said the attack targeted a Marshall Islands-flagged tanker, the Nissos Kea. Sanaa

Ayman Al-Zawahiri
Ayman Mohammed Rabie al-Zawahiri (; 19 June 195131 July 2022) was an Egyptian-born pan-Islamism, pan-Islamist militant and physician who served as the second general emir of al-Qaeda from June 2011 until Killing of Ayman al-Zawahiri, his death in July 2022. He is best known for being one of the main orchestrators of the September 11 attacks. Al-Zawahiri graduated from Cairo University with a degree in medicine and a master's degree in surgery and was a surgeon by profession. Fawaz Al-Rabeiee
Fawaz Yahya al-Rabeiee (1979 – October 1, 2006) was a Yemeni Islamist militant who was a cell ringleader for al-Qaeda in Yemen (AQY). Rabeiee and his cell were responsible for several attacks and plots on behalf of AQY, most prominently the MV ''Limburg'' bombing. Rabeiee was born in 1979 in Saudi Arabia to Yemeni parents. Him and his family was deported to Yemen by the Saudi government in 1990. In 2000, he travelled to Afghanistan and trained in al-Qaeda camp before returning to Yemen in late 2001. In February 2002, he was identified as the leader of an al-Qaeda cell preparing attacks against the United States.
