The Senior Women's One Day Trophy, previously known as the Senior Women's One Day League, is a women's List A cricket tournament held in India. It began in the 2006–07 season, with 24 teams representing state cricket associations, whilst the most recent season, 2023–24, had 37 teams competing. Railways have won the tournament 15 times, including the first and most recent season, whilst Delhi and Bengal have each won the tournament once. History The tournament, as the Senior Women's One Day League, began in the 2006–07 season, the first competition involving state teams in India since the Senior National Women's Cricket Championship, a combined List A and first-class competition that ended in 2002–03. Manipur Women's Cricket Team
The Manipur women's cricket team is a women's cricket team that represents the Indian state of Manipur. They were formed in 2008, competing in the 2008–09 Indian domestic system, before returning in the 2018–19 season, and have competed in the Women's Senior One Day Trophy and the Senior Women's T20 League ever since. 2008–09 Senior Women's One Day League
The 2008–09 Senior Women's One Day League was the 3rd edition of the women's List A cricket competition in India. It took place in November and December 2008, with 28 teams divided into five regional groups. Railways won the tournament, beating Maharashtra in the final, claiming their third consecutive title. Competition format The 28 teams competing in the tournament were divided into five zonal groups: Central, East, North, South and West. The tournament operated on a round-robin format, with each team playing every other team in their group once. The top two sides from each group progressed to the Super League round, where the 10 remaining teams were divided into two further round-robin groups.
